possible to bring Gamble back?

Recommended Posts

I would not be opposed to it but his quick decision to retire basically says all you need to know. I think he was glad he was released and i think for him to retire was a smart decision. He is still young and obviously very rich. He can enjoy his money while he still has his health.

He was a good corner for us and wish him well.

I suppose he could just be waiting until after training camp to sign somewhere, but he doesnt seem worried about getting paid like some vets so if he doesnt feel like playing he wont.

I'd take him back on the panthers, but lets be honest thats not saying much with the CBs currently on the roster

He did not entertain any other teams upon us releasing him, not one. At least that I heard. If his heart was still in the game and he really wanted to play football don't you think he would at least hear one or two teams out?

So what? This is literally the only thing people who are making this claim keep clinging to. The same people saying it now are the same people who said it before he was cut.

You have no idea why he retired and to assume that you do simply because it supports some claim you had prior to him even being cut is ridiculous.

Are you the defender of all things Chris Gamble? Everyone here is making assumptions, including you.

Not only turned down teams to play but not playing a 10th year to get his NFL pension...he is checked out of football and not sure how much passion he ever had for the game.

Gamble was good but never got past a certain point that prevented hm to become elite(despite what pass stat/metrics during the 2010 season state)

Players are eligible after 4 yrs.

you should tell Chris I said hi since you apparently know him so well.

Well let me know when you ever heard of chris gamble being a vocal leader, a non fumbler on punt return, and an overall player that showed he played his heart out every game [ie. minter, keek, steve]

    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
