NFL Draft moved back for 2014

The NFL Draft is moving 2 weeks later than usual for 2014. Doesn't really make sense to me? Just typical Goodell....

I could see him making it longer now too so some of it happens in Sunday. He might also lengthen the combine now that he has more time.

This is silly. This benefits nobody. The coaches and scouting community have already voiced their displeasure with it. It only further hurts the rookies coming in. It upsets the balance of teams weighing filling needs with FA vs. The Draft, which hurts both Free agents and teams alike.

It's stupid and was done for no other reason than "MONIEZ!! GOTS TO GET ME SOME MORE OF DAT MONIEZ!!"

More evidence that Goodell is nothing but an ambitious fool whose only interest in the game is to create his own mark and legacy on it.

Sheesh I miss Tagliabue. That guy spoiled us I guess, but Goodell has got to be one of the worst Commissioners past and present in any of the four manor sports

It makes a lot of sense. It's being moved to a ratings month. It's all about money.

While I can see the teams being upset, I certainly am not affected by it.

This was just step 1 of Goodell's plan to extend the regular season.  I don't like having to wait two extra weeks for the draft, but if it leads to more football I'm all for it.

You're not waiting any extra because it takes 2 weeks off the post-draft offseason. The post June 1 FA period to training camp is the longest and deadest and hardest wait. I'd love them to push everything back a bit to eat into that chunk of time.

Expand the draft to 33 days with a pick a day for the 1st round and rounds 2-7 in one day.
