TV Question about the 1995 Season

Recommended Posts

Bare with me I was 10 years old in 1995. All this Redskins in our market talk got me thinking....Didn't they play other team's games in our market in 1995? I vaguely remember looking for Panther games on the tube and not being able to find them. I was just curious if I was just a dumb 10 year old or if there is some history to that. Thanks.

I was 21 in '95, workin on a tugboat that was going from Myrtle Beach to Norfolk up the Intercoastal Waterway in week 3 on the inaugural season. I watched the Panthers lose to the Rams, divisional back then, and was hooked. Don't know where you live but they showed the game on the Eastern coast of NC then....

I was in Charlotte and I remember all the home games at Clemson being blacked out except the niners game because they didn't sell out. I remember listening to those on the radio.

Yep, every home game but one was blacked out in 95

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
    • Gotta go with the best forward on our team, Jackson Blake.
    • This front office screwed the pooch again in the '25 draft.  Tyler Warren was sitting there and would've been the perfect addition for a QB who can't push the ball down field and could've greatly used an intermediate route security blanket. I don't even entertain this team getting a draft pick or free agent correct at this point.  Their drafts suck, and no decent free agent wants to live in Charlotte in their 20's, unless you wildly overpay for them. We are stuck hoping our division continues to suck, and 8 or 9 wins every year is competitive.
