Which player are you most intrigued/excited about?

i can't limit it to just one or two and it's more just being intrigued by these guys potential than being excited.

 

brandon williams, barner, short, and star are all guys i'm really anxious to see from this rookie class. truth is, though, i like this whole rookie class. i think it's a very good one, even kugbilla. i can't remember a rookie class i've felt this good about..

 

among the vets, AE has gotten my attention. is it for real this time? ginn is also a biggie, if nothing else for just him giving us the first legit return guy we've had in a really long time. if he can replicate anything close to what he's done in the passing offense so far, that's gravy. i like hixon's potential as well. i think this has the making of the best WR corps we've had since '03. of course if smitty goes down then i can see it all going down the crapper so i've got my fingers crossed there.

 

on defense....keek with beason on one side and davis on the other should be nothing short of spectacular. the LB corps as a whole just look downright studly and then combine i with that front on the DL....homer-drooling.png.

 

 

i'm also curious to see just how good mitchell can be. i know he's nasty and violent but can he play well? it looks like he can.

 

drayton florence is another guy i think can be really good.

 

i think the only thing holding this team back is the OL and maybe the coaching and by that i'm referring to in-game management. if that has improved then i really believe that the playoffs are very much a possibility.

Refer back to our game vs the Raiders last year.  The dude completely balled out on us.  He gets chippy and pisses off offensive players too.  He'll prolly eat a decent amount of flags with his playstyle though (of course with the rule changes we've seen lately every safety gets flagged relentlessly even when they try to hold off).
