Yeah, they have less weapons than in recent memory, a terrible D that's in the middle of a scheme change with a DC who is nothing more than a big name and a whole lot of talent short of being average.

Analysts always love teams with popular players.  I think that's how some of them make their Super Bowl picks.

 

I mean when was the last time you heard somebody give an objective analysis of the Patriots?  More often they just say "well, they've got Tom Brady so they have a chance".

but he doesn't coach defense..    all the chips are stacked against that D right now.  Below average personnel and a scheme change could get real interesting this year.

I think there's a realistic chance their D is worse than last season. Not only are they not suited for a 34 (or a 43 for that matter) but Rob Ryan is known for having overly complex schemes that fail to fit the strengths of it's players.

 

If he sucked with all the talent on D is Dallas, what is he going to do with a talent starved roster in Nola?
