For All That Went Wrong (AGAIN), Cause For Optimism...

Last season against the Seahawks, Cam completed 12 of 29 passes for a 41.4 completion percentage. He threw for 141 yards and had no TDs or Ints, but did have one fumble.

If one of those drives were sustained today that Olsen dropped a pass on, or we sustained any other drive, he would've surpassed his yardage total against them from last season.

He completed at almost 70% today for 125 and a TD.

Their secondary is apparently just that good.

Now the downside... they were missing virtually all of their pass rushers and Browner in the secondary. But, perhaps Seattle's defense should be given some credit.

Still I don't want to hear excuses or moral victories, I'm just saying there's a slight possibility that we didn't play as bad as it actuslly appeared and our offense perhaps isn't destined for failure.

Don't get me wrong, that's still me stance on things. But next week is my last, last, last chance given to Rivera... even though I felt we shouldve fired him midway through last season.

We need a #1 WR. That's our main priority IMO. Rivera is getting better however will he ever be what we need him to be? I'm willing to be JR wants to find out despite our record. (unless it's fuging terrible) I just think Rivera has transformed our defense from a joke to a fuging juggernaut. We are a play making safety and a true #1 receiver away from being truly great. I hate to say it but Rivera needs more pieces to truly be great but you're right he has enough for this team to be competitive. I'm drunk I don't even know if this paragraph makes sense.

Done with moral victories time to win a dam game. This guys didn't build off these type of game last year so I don't expect them to build of this one.

After all the talk this off season about wanting to be more aggressive and stuff I can't believe Rivera called the game he did. Almost impressive how gutless this guy is.

We are still a improved 6-10 team. We took on a team that is playoff caliber and lost. In that regard we are a year or two away from a good team. When you play ST guys the fug up because they are ST guys. I happens and we will have to deal with that.

In today's NFL, more important than a great defense, you need a offense that can get you points when you need it late in the game. The Panthers simply don't have it as it was evident again despite all the problems last season. Simply inexcusable not to upgrade that part of the team

    • You're saying the same thing as I said.  Until Jordan becomes an active part of recruiting and funding, this school will continue to fall way behind.  But to say Michael Jordan or the Jordan brand doesn't matter anymore, which is what you said, is flat out wrong.
    • I have not learnt my lesson and will always want Uber athletic profiles. Sorry, Im a whore about it.... Im not the right guy to defend Kenyon, I just have a understanding with this years draft, numbers, and panthers roster. He is more of "upside/project" and we are talking 19th pick here too.  I know about the years of all the mock drafts with TEs in them and I did want Pitts too.... Look I love the current TEs on the roster too, just this guy should be better than any of them at their best.  Right now I feel OT is the correct target, but panthers as a org are trying to win in 2026 than 2027. So tea leaves and all, Kenyon would help this year. You can even say flex him to slot for most of the snaps and think of tmac on smoke routes with Kenyon blocking for him. I just hate BY is the shooter..... warren, I would say he's the better prospect even without his rookie year, *but he was late bloomer like XL if Im right, plus age was 25ish?? Bears picked love above him, mainly cause of recs.  You can make a case that Kenyon is not a TE, but a moving weapon for offense that can be in the backfield, on the LOS, slot, and even X.... imean he's got XLs combine on some numbers.... He would be better to a offense mad scientist type...is that Dave? or is that bevell?? I think the Panthers should have him as a 19 pick, with others...
    • That's one of the best power play games I've seen us have in a while.
