Game Grades - Panthers at Bills

I actually lol'd when we went into the Wildcat after getting a turnover deep in Buffalo territory.

Utterly clueless coaching staff.

I don't blame the coaching staff though for the wildcat plays.  Cam had thrown 5 or 6 consecutive very bad passes.  And fwiw, the wildcat worked, in that it got us to a 3rd and short.  We went back to the normal offense, and got stopped on third and short.

I'm at a bar and some guy comes in with his kid..  it didn't take him more than 3 minutes to start bashing how obvious the playcalling was in this game...

what's so frustrating is watching him beat his head against the wall with some of these play calls..  3rd and short so let's send everyone deep while Bell scoots back 3 steps, bumps Mario, and stops...  That was his technique all game.

offensive play calling could have been better at times and cam did look bad in the beginning but got it together, would have like to see more running instead of pass pass pass but at least we know we need help at wr. The d played good at moments bottled up spiller a couple of times but he still got loose, D line didn't get any pressure on ej and i blame them a little more for our d giving up points besides the last drive. Rivera IMHO needs to go no matter what the season holds, he doesn't have any since of urgency or gusty calls to win the game or simply show that he trust our Offense....add that to the slew of other problems like his love fest for sorry players and his stubbornness and this guy just doesn't get it

I have a game grade for Ownership.

Jerry Richardson, you get an F.

Imagine if the Carolina Panthers actually celebrated the 12th man as the Seattle Seahwaks do before, during and after every game.

Enthusiastic, boisterous Fans are actually a good thing you old fart.

Time to step aside.

The culture at BOA will never change with old codgers running poo.. that's why I hope the next owner is much younger and at least knows what a computer and internet is.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
