I don't care if we win this game or not, Shula's ass needs to be left in the desert.

So Rivera finally starts being more aggressive and the lack of accountability and sense of urgency that has plagued this team for years now rears its ugly head through the players performance.

Truth is, the coaching staff sucks for the most part, but the players on this roster, outside of 3-5 guys, are not very good at all.

Shula gets some blame but i'm with the majority this was on the players,Shula got rid of the run early and himself made us one dimensional......then goes pass heavy with a o line that clearly was getting abused ......and i still don't see any te or rb chipping to help bell out other then that shula did ok at best

You're talking about one play, and a play that gained positive yards at that.

Arians gameplanned brilliantly against our defense.

Newton started out great but has looked mediocre as the game wore on.

Plus you've got drops, line issues, dumb penalties, etc.

Multiple issues today, but Shula's playcalling isn't among them.

yes, all those things happened

other things that happened: Olsen tore them up in the first quarter. then he was ignored.

Short passes were moving the ball. the drops killed that drive. We didn't return to it. instead, we run long, slow developing routes with no checkdown while Cam has approximately 0.94 seconds before a defender is in his face.

The screen pass to Dwill gained good yardage. the cardinals did not adjust their coverage and blitzes afterwards. we should keep doing it until they do.

Shula has plenty of blame to go along with the players.

Stop getting away from what works. I mean, look at the taints: short pass to sproles, short pass to graham, short pass to sproles, short pass to graham, short pass to sproles, short pass to graham, all game long, 16 games a year

Shula's not the problem today.

I kept thinking we were 2 dropped passes and a fast whistle from a ref away from Beating down the Cards by 21 more points at half time, it's a completely different game if that happens, neither coach can make a player not drop a pass that hits him square in the chest, just bad luck for Rivera and Co. imo

I stopped watching the game at half time because I knew where it was going, sad to say I know this team too well and saw the second half coming.

The players have their share of the blame in this loss, but no more so than Shula.  Shula's inept playcalling put the players in positions to fail.  He kept calling the slow developing pass plays when our O-line couldn't block my grandma.  In the second half we called two screen plays.  One was a very productive first down conversion on 3rd and 10, the other was dropped by Barner.  The screen has been our bread and butter since Cam got here, but for some reason Shula thinks we shouldn't run it any more.  Shula called a bad game, Smitty had a bad first half, Cam had a bad second half, the defense had a bad fourth quarter.  Rivera is just bad.  Burn this coaching staff to the ground.  Kill it with fire.

When the players fug up, its up to the coaches to get the team back on track.  This team just kept getting worse and worse.  We barely even sniffed the red zone in the second half.  We were thoroughly out-coached by Arians.  Our O-line was thoroughly dominated by the AZ 3-4 defense.  Their linebackers looked like all pros (I know they are very good).

We were just completely beaten in all phases.  Coming off a Bye week, we looked about as bed as ever.  That game reminds me exactly of the way we lost the Seattle and Dallas games last season.  It is a trend that keeps coming back.  The team was not prepared to win that game.  They didn't even seem like they cared very much about winning as I really didn't see much intensity.  After Smitty dropped that sure TD pass, everything went south.  Once LaFell dropped that pass and we only made it out of the half with 6 points, I knew AZ would eventually get going and take the lead.  It was obvious and it happened like clockwork.

Shula himself didn't directly lose the game.  His players didn't execute and that's not his fault.  There were enough good play calls made that could have resulted in success.  I put the blame on RR for not having his team prepared and focused once again.  Shula isn't going to win you any games just with his sheer brilliance or lose you games with incompetence.  He's not the best OC in the league and never has been, but when your players don't have focus and drop sure passes or throw into coverage, what can you do?

shula was absolutely a problem.

he took the foot off the gas after  that first drive and never adjusted to deal with the way the cards D was handling cam. kept calling deep plays that took too long to develop. he didn't adjust. that's on him.

he wasn't the only problem, but he absolutely was a problem. he is who i feared he would be.

People saying, "This one is on the players":  who do you think prepares the players week in and week out?  Why do you think when we get guys like Blackburn, Ginn, Harris, et al from other teams, they come in and contribute here immediately?  Those guys come in with a different mentality because the coaches for those teams actually coach and prepare their players for battle every Sunday.  We might be a player friendly organization, but that doesn't mean it's the best recipe for winning ballgames.  Hell, I would want to come here too if I could half ass it, get a pay check, and head home.  High five, Chico!  See you at McAlister's for Sunday lunch!
