I am a seahawks fan, but I wanted to come in here and join in on this celebration. I will admit, those arrogant a**hole niners got cockslapped by that big bad panthers D-line.

that's nice and all, but you guys may have another meeting with that D-line and Russel may not be so lucky next time now that Thomas isn't still in the lineup.

I posted in a couple of other threads because i did not see this one nor can i create my own.

The Panthers Defense is the real deal.

Not only did you guys match our physicallity, you surpassed it.

Your D-Line made our O-Line look incapable of pass blocking.

Kap looked startled and uncomfortable the whole time. I saw no composure from him and if he does that vs the Saints bob ryan D then we are going to lose big there. Although, i am hopeful we turn it around by winning convincingly vs the Saints.

I was surprised at the success of Frank Gore running the ball vs you guys. Of course, any time Frank is running well we get away from running the ball. I do think he got hurt though so maybe thats why lil ole Kendall Hunter got destroyed by the underrated Davis guy i heard so much about last week leading up to the game.

I was pleased with the 49ers defense. They rarely let us down. Losing Eric Reid to that viscious collision was painful to watch (probably more painful for Reid). That's the poor kids second concussion of the season and the sad part is he actually tries to avoid head on collisions. Which, i think in turn causes him to get concussed.

Although the score was 10-9 i feel you guys dominated the game. We had so many chances to win and couldn't. Y'all had multiple dropped passes and miscues and we could not capitalize on them at all.

All i hope now is that VD and Ried can fully recover from their concussions because we will need them big time vs the Saints.

Congrats and Good Game.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
