If you want proof of his homerism look at his record picking Saints games (24th) on this site that tracks the talking heads.  Now look at his placement picking Panther games (80th) and you can tell he picks (hopes!) the Panthers will lose every week.  Note that he is 17th predicting falcon games because they both suck.

I watched this segment as well and Evans got called out immediately by Willie McGinest. Willie said something along the lines of why is everyone overlooking or disrespecting the Carolina Panthers. And that it's one thing to say the Saints will win, but saying they will drop a 40 burger on the best defense in the NFL is not right. And then there was a slight made that Evans might not be able to be objective (aka welcome to homer town).

Respectfully disagree. I could see this going the same way as the Patriots game but with an extra turnover or punt thrown in. We'll grind out our long methodical drives down the field and Brees will get his. With our time of possession alone I don't think they give up more than 21. 28 at the absolute worst if our offense shows up. (If they give them a short field or turn it over obviously those numbers go up.)

I just think with the way Kuechly jumps those quick curl routes from TEs and Brees' heavy reliance on Graham we're bound to see some drops or a pick from forcing the issue.

i hope you're right!

Have to start fast, no early 3 and outs.....long drives that flip the field position battle....Brees will make his plays but if he's constantly having to go 80+ we will be fine.....there's no way they get in the ballpark of 40....our team is too mentally tough and I think just flat out wants it more.....the majority of this team has seen 3 years of being soooo close on so many occasions....nahhhhh this is the panthers night.....cam takeover....enjoy the show haters

    • I guarantee it makes a difference. Give up 2 scores and its basically over until garbage time. The offense can barely drive the length of the field in 3 quarters. The defense has been gutted to build around a QB that is possibly the biggest bust in NFL history. For what we've put into the offense the past 3 years, we should be dropping 30 bombs with regularity. The only 30s we get are FGs.
    • Not according to some fly by night fantasy crusader!  There were 10 drops that should have netted Bryce another 450 yards and 7 TD’s
    • What? Am I mistaken that his rookie year included a horrible coaching staff and support players.   It's wasn't just Bryce.  I won't judge any player from that yeah.  It's impossible to make an accurate assessment on any player under those conditions. It's that simple. You break down each play and look at each player, what the expectation was, what happened during the play and what circumstances affected every player and position. There a reason why the narrative was he could be the biggest NFL bust in history.  Then after his benching he started to show remarkable improvement. Thus all the talk from fans and media about how dramatic of a turnaround it was and that Carolina no longer had a QB problem. First game this year the whole team stunk it up.  Why?  Plenty of blame to go around including Bryce. Improvements do not come it a nice straight line angling up.  I think Sunday was a step back for the whole team.  Still plenty of time to see if it was a bad outing to grow from or another indicator of issues that can't be overcome.
