Take the reigns off Cam for this game.....our true weapon

I know Cam has been giving much more freedom to take off and scramble, but perhaps even more so for this game. With the loud ass dome it will be difficult to hear and I'm sure Ryan will be trying to disguise his defenses and force bad decisions. Truth be known,Cam and Tolbert are now the two most effective runners we have at this point....Deangelo has been on and off and Stewart just isn't back yet...let alone the fact that our Oline cannot open any holes on a consistent basis. So let's run our screens, options, and dump-offs to loosen up that Line, and use Tolbert to slam them and Cam to take all the yards that they will give him. Cam seems to be much better passing when he uses his running ability to set up the pass. We need a dominant running game no matter who does the running....just beat them down then bury them. We cannot get in a shoot out with Brees, that's not a game plan we can win. But do what the Jets did to them.....run over them until they will fold.

Definitely let Cam be Cam, but he should not have to shoulder the entire offense this game.

Well, that's pretty much where we're at.  Teams are just about completely shutting down our running game lately.  The only real running game we have is Cam's scrambling.  If the trend continues, he'll probably be our leading rusher again this year.  He's only about 160 yards behind DeAngelo right now.  Week 6 was the last time DeAngelo ran for over 50 yards in a game, meanwhile Cam has ran for over 50 yards a game in each of the last 3 games.

Cam needs to manage the game as any QB would but should take advantage of any space on the field or hole that opens up to gain 5 to 10 yards where he can slide without contact...........that will keep the chains moving the time moving and drive their defense nuts..........

We don't need him to perform miracle runs.......just keep the offense on the field......

Our receivers need to help him out

Ginn I am looking at you, catch the deep balls because everything they are thrown in your direction, they hit your hands yet they bounce on the ground

Smith and Lafell get open Cam will find you

Olsen, you are the rock, keep doing what your doing

We're winning, let's just keep rolling with what is working.

Like normal, I expect Cam to let the defense control the game and have the offense play very conservative, protecting the football and avoiding costly mistakes, only gambling on big plays when the opportunity arises.

The trick here is keeping New Orleans off the field. IMO.

I don't mind running Cam if it is to pick up 3rd or 4th downs... I'm all for that. Just letting him loose and getting away from what has resulted in eight straight victories, doesn't seem all that wise.

It's time to get vertical like 2011. Open up a can of whoop ass. The only thing the Saints can hope to do is to tire our defense. But if we can score a couple of quick touchdowns we can then revert back to our eat the clock methodical offense. I don't mean conservative I mean ball control + Riverboat Ron. I expect our defense to be very stout for at least the first half of this game, and if our offense can control the game then they will be stout for 4 qtrs.

    • "If only Bryce were <height>", he'd <insert stupid thing here>" was the bit and in direct response to multiple posters ridiculously blaming Bryce (and only Bryce) for the punt returns vs. New England. :3 I understand that folks desire balance, hence the "Bryce stans vs. Bryce haters" narrative but it's abundantly clear that the only people going into threads just to talk about Bryce are the haters. Meanwhile, daring to disagree that Bryce was completely at fault for something that happened on special teams gets the "stan" label. Shoot, I'm sure folks lump me in as a Bryce stan (Brycen stan? Absolutely. Bryce stan? Nah) just because I have the audacity to look at what the rest of the team is and isn't doing. 😛
    • PJ Walker is the only QB in the Tepper era the Panthers managed to find wins with.  Only QB w/ a winning record.    PJ had success in pro ball before the Panthers.  He he had NFL tools.    He just is consistent and unreliable.  PJ Walker is what you call a bad/poor man's gunslinger.  He can provide highs and lows both virtually guaranteed.  He is NFL depth.  Bryce Young hasn't proven to improve a teams chances of winning better than the PJ Walker tier of QBing. PJ Walker can do things Bryce Young can't......and that a problem
    • There isn’t but the thing is the team/system/staff around the QB ultimately dictates how successful that QB can be. You have Baker getting released midseason here vs playing like a MVP on another team. Darnold on the Jets/Panthers vs Vikings/Seahawks. Geno Smith on the Jets vs the Seahawks vs the Raiders. Mac Jones is looking as good as Purdy on the 49ers. You have to build a roster, culture, and system for these guys.  Obviously the QB has to be the leader and help elevate the team, but we are seeing what moving a “bad” QB to a stable franchise looks like. Daniel Jones might be doing the same but it’s too early to tell.
