but also, I don't think our run game is that bad. We aren't great.... but the whole season the opposing team has played "stop the run, make Cam pass".

 

that's gotten to where the Run game has been stopped, and predictably, the 3rd and longs are all out blitzes. that for some reason we call plays where Cam can't dump the ball off quick... we look for 15+ down the field and it's to late then.

 

Blah... we just need to work with what we have at the moment, and worry about who's on the team next season... after the season.

And I don't believe Hixon will be one of those players.

after seeing what ginn and lafell can attribute i'm all for it, those guys haven't played bad but there's been times where both need to take a seat for a couple snaps

Thats the diff tween us and N.O. If you can catch, you're getting on the field and getting the ball. They had like 10 people with a reception last night. In today's NFL you can never have too many options

 

If it was me, play Brandon Williams too. It's not just a coincidence we're ranked almost dead last in team passing, that's terrible

Right now no one is getting open.  If he can get open, then that would help.  I'm not saying he can, I'm just saying the guys we're playing right now aren't.

Hello, long time lurker first time poster here.  You guys probably don't give 2 poo's about this opinion, but here goes.  There is nobody in our receiving corp who can out-muscle most the other DB's who are playing in the league right now.  I know smitty is a physical guy, but he doesn't have the size or the hops to hold his own unless he's nearly unguarded.  And I'm not talking about low, in the chest, shots like what got us a TD in garbage time last night.  There are so many other teams who have at least one receiver who can, and does catch garbage...high throws, one handed catches falling backwards with 2 defenders draped all over them...  Our guys can't hold onto the long ball to save their ass usually, especially, when it's mission critical that they make the play (I'm looking at you, Lafell). Cam has gotten rusty after airing it out the first couple of seasons because there is no reason to trust those guys to make the catch.  Which is a shame, because we could have a very dynamic, high powered offense if we had real play-makers instead of bit players.  Here's to hoping these problems are as glaring to the FO as it is to the fans.

I agree... Put him and King out there and run some routes. I mean hell what is the point of going to the same 3 people evey time? You say Cam spreads the ball more but ... just to two other people we use

Winning Blinds or clouds peoples judgement, alot of things stated earlier this seasons got expose yesterday but i guess everyone forgot since we were on a 8 game streak. Lafell from a effort standpoint didn't do good, and ginn got pushed around vs man coverage and dropped a couple, not calling for there heads though.
