Does Lafell's highs make up for his lows?

Donald LaFell

You don't need a 16 TD a year player.  There are at least 5 WR's in FA's and at least 5 in the draft who are legit better candidates for the #2 spot.  People need to take off the glasses Lafell is no where near a #2 WR for Any team.  He's never had hands he's never been able to get open.  His only thing thats held him has been "he's a Good blocker"  well even that has dropped off a bunch (see last game vs Nola).

Again the guy was 6th yes 6th on team in receptions from the #2 WR spot just 2 years ago.  You NEVER see that.    For a #3 guy he'd be a solid player but lining him up opposite of your star #1 is a joke.  16 TD's ha Lafell has a total of 13 in his 4 seasons here

So who is this wizard 16 TD a season WR in free agency or the draft?

He is having his worst drop year by far but is still no worse than any of our other WRs

As far as percentage of passes dropped, he is having a slightly better year than Steve Smith.

I am not sure how accurate these stats are, but its interesting to note that Wes Welker is leading the league in number of drops, and his percentage of drops (relative to number of times targeted) is significantly higher than Lafell and many other receivers.

Oh okay right because alchoholic receivers are common. Got it.

What the hell are you talking about?

You wanna let Lafell go, great. Who we putting in his place? You don't have a clue.

I give an example of what happened in a similar instance and you start going on about why Jarrett sucked? I know he sucked.

Bottom line if you let Lafell go, you better know that you are replacing him with something better.

What player never makes mistakes?

who suggested that?

To take from the title of the topic, all players have highs and lows. The question is does Lafell contribute enough to make up for his lowpoints, and if he does how much?

His great game today is old news especially if he has key drops as we try to make the playoffs.
