No one should be concerned about his puussyfied attitide concerning this Sundays game.Hope Kaep plays badly,etc.I would think behind closed doors he is all piss and vinegar. Not his style to be in the other teams face.Like the fact that he keeps low profile to the media.Only matters if he loses his balls on gameday.

It's his coaching style he plays passive and lets the players ryle themselves up. He just gives them a little nudge and prepares them.

I think (and hope) that Steve has a little of that "playing possum" in him as well. He is saying things like the knee isn't 100% etc. but I think he fully expects to go out there the shred the 49ers.

I'd rather have Rivera than some egotistical douchebag like harbaugh, making little digs and insinuating remarks he throws at press calls, and what does Rivera need to say anyway this week if the players don't realise the significance of what is the biggest game of there careers then there is something missing somewhere, Rivera to me comes across as calm, reassuring and in control of his team and he respects his opponent

I think we've learned at this point that Ron's "stoic" reputation was based more on perception than reality, as it's obvious how much he cares about his job and winning. He just doesn't feel the need to constantly remind everyone of his own genius, and keeps the focus where he needs to be: winning.

He's not playing possum or being "passive".  He's just being respectful to his opponent.  Rivera has done that since day one.  So to say he is doing something different than he has ever done is not correct.
