No this is not the thread you think. A lot of people are hating on JT. But I will tell you something. AT least he was still fighting. This team gave up late in the third when gore first started pounding. Thomas was being held just like they had been doing all game and he fought back. That play did not decide the game. Those that can not understand his fury are the reason why this organization got beat by a team like the niners.

Harbaugh set us up all week. He new that this group was not the tough guys we claimed to be. So what did he do. He blatantly insulted us by saying we didn't beat them at full strength so it didn't count. Second he pays FLair to come talk to his team and not talk to the panthers. Then he gets on the field and has his guys play dirty. Guys were getting choked (literally), boldin sneaks in several late hits, and lord knows what happened with the refs. And mentally we folded. The coach instructed his team to calm down when FIGHTING BACK was what we needed! We got beat up, just like a backyard street fight.

Worse yet I look at all the fan posts and people don't even see that. Take a look at yourselves, the same way I hope the panthers are doing now. Some people are the hammer and some are the anvil. The anvil doesn't know why his head hurts. But the hammer knows that no matter how much his head hurts, the anvil will still hurt more.

I believe we played hard as hell that first half but then after call after call.....I think the flags got into the players head...that they had to be less physical due to the flag happy refs against the panthers.....as much a physical game as mental....horrible refs today which overly influenced the game...hope we step up to the plate next year yet again..we get no respect......don't mind if we have to earn it again....KEEP POUNDING!

That makes no sense at all. Of course we understood his frustration. But the game still had  A CHANCE of being won. We get the ball back and who knows. WHY throw a punch. Fighting hard has nothing to do with A PUNCH. What could you even potentially gain from that? Pride? Satisfaction? What... completely selfish play. A very DUMB A** PLAY.

I don't have a problem with what he did. The way the game was being called and the way the 49ers were carrying on I would have struggled to keep my cool. The guys young, has talent and will learn. I would hate for us to throw it away because the refs had a hard on for the 49ers and Harbaugh is a cheating prick.

    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
    • Didnt Canales already say starters are playing in the pre season? either way extra reps dont hurt but im not one of those people that think playing in the pre season would have saved Bryce from an awful start.
    • very helpful.  I read back in this thread where they might try Jarvis at C--I thought he and Aho had good chemistry, however.  Nonetheless, he could expand his value there, and now we have a guy who can play jarvis' spot.  Freddie is a pro, no doubt--and as little as I know about the inner workings of strategy and positions, I could tell Burns was burning us at times.  I figured he'd retire and I was looking forward to it.  FWIW, they have Jarvis listed as a C on the 2025-26 roster.
