Even outsiders noted the officiating

Wow, you must not know the rules very well or are a huge homer. We got lucky on that call, that shouldn't have been a penalty dude, the defender woulda had a clean hit on cam, but when cam tried to escape, he turned right into it. Dont get mse wrong... I'm glad we got it, but we shouldn't have.

This is a false notion.

Newton, was still behind the line of scrimmage; therefore he was not a runner as  you and others are erroneously suggesting.

You mean you never seen a QB spin, turn, or change direction behind the LOS and complete a pass downfield??

So are you suggesting it was incidental? Nonetheless, it was head to head. Come on now.

The reality is that at least 10 of the 49ers 13 First Half points, a half the Panthers dominated statistically...were handed to them by the Refs.

How was the momentum changed and game plans and play calls for 2nd half changed by instead of 13-10 Niners at the Half, the score being 10-3 Panthers????

Even if you don't account for Momentum and game plan and play call shifting and see the 2nd half playing out exactly the same.  At the end of the game its 13-10 49ers where the last 10 minutes of the 4th are a very different story on how it plays out.

The Refs, in this case, drastically changed the game.  The only way the Panthers could've won given what the Refs did would have been for the Offense to have been on fire against a Top 5 Defense scoring TD's every time they got the ball.

The only reason the refs didn't keep screwing us in the second half was because they didn't have to.  We pretty much fell apart so they could sit back and think about what they were going to buy with the money they were paid off with.

On the hit to Cam's head. The rule says you cant hit any player in the head, especially a QB. It was a good call.

Should the rule be qualified with an incidental exemption? Maybe. But that isn't the case right now.

I will never blame the outcome of a game on the refs, there is always something a team can do to execute better and overcome adversity...and SF absolutely beat us in the second half

All that being said, it's a shame the refs had as big an impact as they did, I can deal with a lot of the questionable PI and unnecessary roughness calls, those seem to happen every game, they just seemed to all go against us in this particular instance...However the headbutt call on Captain, and no call on Boldin when the ref was standing RIGHT THERE STARING AT IT, and also the 12 men in the huddle are inexcusable.  Those are not judgement calls, and definitely made an impact on the game.

Hit on Cam was prolly the right call based on the rule (even though it's a terrible rule).  I have seen a flag thrown on a pass rusher when a hand hit Brady's head as he was getting blocked past him, just because it was a "blow" to the head of the qb...and ultimately that flag had no impact on our game because we couldn't capitalize anyways

This article shows how far the coach was on the field.........Should not have been a td.

OK niners fans have officially reached Saints fans level. In the comments section they actually say that the refs were trying to cheat for Carolina. Smh. They are so unthankful. They shouldn't be sending thank you card to Carl an the rest of the officiating crew. I would be ashamed and feel robbed as a fan if my team won in this fashion. Just as I was after my Lakers eliminated the Kings in the NBA western conference finals in 2002 thanks to shady stern and his henchmen called refs.

The head butt on bolden was the biggest. That took them in scoring range with 30 seconds on the clock before halftime. So you can take 4 points off SF 23. The other was the unnecessary roughness early in the game which you can take off 3 points because it lead to a fg and thats 7 points. Giving san fran a total of 16 points. Big difference in play calling and managing the game and add on one of our 4th and goals at the 1 yard line we win.
