Greg Hardy waiting on phone call, 'crapload' of money

Hardy ties a franchise record for sacks, plays phenomenal against the run, slides inside when asked, and then people say fug him because he didn't have multiple sacks against the best o-line in the league in the playoffs?

C'mon guys, you can't judge on one game.

This. I think in spite of all the talk he wants to be a Panther and i want him to be a Panther. it would be a shame to lose him.I am all for keeping him.

alright for the people saying he didn't do anything against the 49ers your blind.............your lazy, you just looked at the stat line and saw 0 sacks and assume he didn't show up.....when in fact he did, he was the only de getting pressure and the most important part the 49ers only threw the ball 4 TIMES THE SECOND HALF!!!!!!!

so quit with the hardy doesn't show up bs, bottom line is the dude is worth the money point blank it's debatable to say the guys we could bring in would make as big of an impact as hardy but we do have important pieces to resign, like someone stated earlier if he's playing for money he won't be here i feel dg would try and get him a fair deal 11-12.5 mill a year with some cap magic

Anyone who thinks Hardy will NOT sign with the team who offers him the most money is crazy.

That is all he is talking about.  When asked about Surfing in Hawaii, he said it was too close to "money time,"  When asked about a hometown discount, he threw out the $100 million figure as an example.   Maybe it was easier for him to figure out 10% of $100 m than it would be to figure out 10% of $60m; so much depends on education levels in matters such as these, but I doubt it.  I think he wants Peppers/Allen money.

Try and get a all sides win deal done- panthers, jerry, ron, fans, agent, greg, my ex, star, mitchell, luke, cam, etc etc. are happy. I believe greg's number has atleast _0,000,000 that many zeros for him to sign. If he wants more AND DG, drew, greg know for a fact he could get 13,000,000+, well if a team is willing to go that high.......... they would also be willing to give some drafts pick in order to employ the prized DE.

Two things I'd like to add= the raiders, jaguars/other team with plenty of "cap space" also have plenty of UFAs too.

Tell any pro, "player ______  _______had career game", then they ask who was that against? whos the competition?

greg had three HUGE games(over half his numbers) against a rookie undraftd free agent, a division II third round rookie making his first start late in season, and a giant turnstile.

I know greg realizes that with star, kk, cj =  :cam1:  :lk:  :jc:  :ss:

plus the panthers put up with his "stuff" ie crash, but we're talking about a guy who like the finer things in life.............so

A- sign him to a deal.

B-tag

C- tag and trade

D-let him test the market(ugggggHHHHH)

E- cj, smitty, stewart, olsen all come to DG and take pay cuts. cam signing a record low 10 year 5,760,000 deal......get raped by drew then start the epic party with coke & whores

Life without Hardy begins now and it is time to get used to it. We cannot afford him and thats just the facts.Do you think this team would be better served by having pennies left after giving him a 12 million dollar tag or filling the holes that have to be addressed to get to the next level. There isn't any "home town discount" coming and that Bentley he drives should give you an idea of what kind of money he wants. Cam and Luke are the two players that we need to secure long term and that is where DG will put the bucks.I also had moments during the season where I was on the "pay the man" bandwagon, but after having time to really think things out......doesn't seem that pulling a "Hurney" would be a long time benefit for this team.

I dont understand what he thinks he will accomplish by going on and on about the money. Its becoming quite un appealing. It would be in his best interest to just shut up about it. Let his agent do the talking out of site.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
