Yeah I think Gross is making the right decision for himself and his family.  It's probably a bigger loss to the team than possibly losing Greg Hardy.

Look for Gettleman to re-sign Bruce Campbell and go after mid FA guys like the Lion's Jason Fox and Titan's Mike Otto.

I don't doubt that there is truth to this possibility but if Bill Voth had listened to any of his pod casts he would know that Gross always loses weight in the off season.

DG probably made him an offer and Gross said "Fug that" and decided to retire instead.   How many healthy guys retire after a Pro Bowl season?

 

Nah, he was thinking it over already last year.

 

He probably told DG, Ron etc, he'll give them 1 more year despite our record and prepred himself mentally to retire.

 

He's earned the right to retire when he wants and with how much he means to the franchise and vice versa, I doubt money was a deciding factor for him.

Here's the good news.

 

In the first game, our sucky free agent LT gets blasted by a DE who hits Cam low and breaks his leg.

 

Our first round BPA running back watches helplessly.

 

But after a 1-15 season, we have the number one pick in the draft.
