Thank you, Jordan...

Jordan Gross was always a cool guy. I remember in 2003 I went down to training camp I was like 18 years old and I yelled "Mr Gross can you sign my football". Now most athletes get blinders when they don't want to sign. Jordan looked over at me and said "Sorry man I'm just really hungry".  So like 8 years later I go to the Jordan Gross kickball tournament and he's just signing everything. I walk up to him and ask him to sign my hat. He asks me my name, I told him and he thanked me for supporting his charity.

I really don't know what my point is but he was just a different cat. Most athletes are on guard in public, some are straight assholes. Jordan was like just a dude.

Great football player too. He helped create a positive culture in our locker room and did all those great this is Gross episodes. I will miss him but hopefully he stays a part of the community.

He's on my panthers Mount Rushmore. Never got enough credit while he was around. Great player and a better person. Loved "This is Gross" this year. He's got a bright future ahead of him.

It's selfish for me to want him to stay, but damn if we won't all miss him.

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
