So........... was keeping Hardy worth all this?

its a simple question. everyone cried about losing him, then keeping him, now we have him, and the reality is setting in about the lack of bread. no doubt he's a skilled player but all players can be replaced... and will be.... obviously.

I have no problem with keeping Hardy. Does that answer your question muffintops?

even if we let Hardy walk, we wouldnt have signed anyone in FA yet.. Panthers always take til week 2 to make any moves.. i cant even remember that last FA we signed out of the gates.. Kemo maybe?

and that sir is why we are the Panthers! it has been too many changes for this to continue to be of way of acting in this business... I'm really not feeling 2005-2007 again and mos def not 2009-2012. smh sad years

Absolutely. This isn't even up for debate.

Hardy>Guys we are losing.

Our front 7 is monstrous and only going to get better. Keeping Hardy was key. We can plug and play guys in the secondary for another year. The offense will be addressed as well. Losing Hardy changes the entire dynamic of the defense.

I hope the front 7 can get a ton of pick-sixes and fumbles returned for TDs, or they need to catch passes, block, you know, that whole point-scoring thing that Gettleman seems to have forgotten is necessary.

Does this dick think you get 6 points every time Hardy gets a sack?

Premium pass rushers are worth it. DLo and Stew contracts, not so much.

Pretty much this, those contracts are hurting us far more then Hardy, at least Hardy the last two years has been sorely underpaid and has produced and is going into the prime of his career.

Hardy also has one of those personalities where you arent really worried that he might bank it in after getting paid

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
