Local Beat Writers Doing a Great Job... Usama Young Visited Us Before Re-Signing with Raiders

I don't like to get pissy about the beat writers.  I know our front office is very tight-lipped.

But the question I always wind up asking is why guys like Adam Caplan, Aaron Wilson, Ian Rapoport and others can get this kind of information and the local guys don't?

People like Caplan and Wilson have been working in this business for over a decade, and with Rap he has the added clout of working for a big time outlet.  Compared to who we have in Person, who many players and coaches don't even like so why would they tell him anything, JJones is still new on the block and really hasn't had a lot of time to build his connections, and we have who else, Sorensen maybe?

The big guys have had time to earn the trust and respect of the insiders while ours are either dumb and stupid or new.

I cannot fathom how Joe Person walks around in public without 30 people hovering questioning how this douche has a job..  And to top it off, the observer somehow employs this guy..  They actually pay him money...  like more than $3 an hour...  and more than 2 hours a week.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
