He's been my best friend since forever and for the last day he hasn't move except to maybe change his position by using his front legs he doesn't eat unless i manully feed him and i havn't seen him drink water. he's had a long life but i don't know if i should take him to the vetand let them put him down or let him pass away peacfully here at home and bury him here. i live in the country so i have a big back yard where he used to play. What is the best method for him.

At least take him to the vet and get a professional opinion as to whether or not he's in pain.  He may have a tumor or a cancer that has effected his spine and he cannot move is back legs.

He's your bud and dogs are notorious for not wanting to show you how much pain they may be in; always wanting to please their master.

Like anybody home said take your dog to the vet first and see what they say.  In all likelihood from what you say it is time to prepare yourself to let your buddy pass into the next life with your and your vets help.  My last two pets I have had euthanized at home,  and it was well worth the house call cost to have it done here where they had spent their lives and were the most comfortable.

Best to you both - dont be afraid to do what is best for your friend.

Definitely have the vet come to your home to put him to rest. It sounds like he is ready to go.

We put my family border collie, Carly, down last year. She was 14, blind and had bad hip problems. She was a fighter but near the end she stopped eating and drinking. The vet said she wouldn't have lasted much longer, and that without being put to sleep she might have had seizures and convulsions. The vet came to the home and administered the shot while Carly was being held in my sister's arms. They only had to administer a slight amount before she went to sleep and was free of the pain.

If you really cared you would smother the dog with a pillow.

What kind of person asks an internet forum what they should do about their dog that can't walk, won't eat, or drink water. Clearly your dog is taking the suicide route.

    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
    • Yea Bryce was definitely a top half qb the second half of last season but I'm not sure Canales is 100% sold on him.  Like I've said in another post I think that's part of why we talked to so many South Carolina players in the draft process.  I think they are doing early due diligence on Sellers just in case.
