I honestly feel bad for Willis. I mean, good that he got a decent (NFL QB speaking) payday and will be set for life, but in terms of actually competing and providing he's a legit starter? The Dolphins are gonna carry $175M in dead cap this year and they have an out in Willis' contract after the 2027 season. Banks is such an enigma, he could be a steal at 19 due to his potential. Or he could be a 325 pound injury prone bust who rarely plays. Dude had one great year in 2024 and has been injured since. Personally I just don’t think you take a risk like that in round 1 especially in a year where we have made clear investments into the defense and nailing one more piece could be the difference between a good and great defense. Give me Kayden McDonald over Banks he might have a lower ceiling but he is a true Junior and one of the best run defending DT’s I’ve personally ever watched.
