Their pass rush is going to kill our OL. Bryce gonna get sacked a record amount of times. In fact, I'm guessing Bryce won't make it through the entire game....
-
If Bryce protects the ball, we have a chance. If not, it gets ugly. Our Safeties are an absolute problem in coverage, so the offense will need to score - a lot. Our run defense is actually not that bad right now. Especially if Evero pulls Nick Scott after missing the tackle on the the first big run from Bijan. Ransom is a tackling machine. Neither seems great in coverage so at least put the strong tackler in the game.

Panther fans sound off on Bryce

How can Corbett's traditional early exit be a detriment to this team? He has been awful snapping the ball and in pass protection.

4th quarter comeback!

L 41-13

I disagree, and I think 99% of coaches go for two in that situation. If you go for two and don't make it, you have to score three more times. If you do make it, you only have to score twice.
-
Right! They really didn't send more than the front 4/5 the whole game. The first 2 times they did, and Carolina was passing, were BIG plays for them. Agree. I only mentioned the TD plays because they're scoring plays, and they tend to carry more weight. The main point is they were not sitting back in soft zone with everyone 20 yards back for 3+ quarters. They ran a lot of man and every completion wasn't a gimme. There were some tight window anticipation throws. He avoided pressure and made good throws - some were caught, some weren't. The bigger concern is he needs to take care of the dang ball. This isn't the Bryce we saw his rookie year or the first 2 games last year. That guy was afraid to throw the ball in a tight window or down the field.

Both times!

Because Canales seemed to think he had Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes back there with Mike Evans still catching the ball for him he and Young are drastically mismatched …and that is part of the problem young will never be what canales wants and needs for his offensive playbook canales failed in 2 min drill as much ad Young and the team did they looked like they had never done a 2 min drill in their football lives at any level i feel really bad for the fans, if there are any left, of this team and the PSL holders.

Facts. Someone just offered me their ticket to Sunday's game and I told them nah... I'm good. Im not expecting much from this team to want to go.

Can't wait for BY's heroic 4th quarter drive pulling out an amazing TD pass with 13 seconds to go to cut the lead to 36.

I don't blame fans. We've had a poo product on the field for a LONG time. The Panthers have been saturating the market with a LOT of hopium this offseason. It doesn't help that the NFL media machine has tagged us as an up and coming team. Why spend your hard earned money on a Panthers game where they are going to look like crap? They need to get better before they'll have some fan by in. What do we hang our hat on? For years, it was Defense, and it was a heck of a D. We don't have that identity right now. It doesn't help having a former Youth Pastor (the way he talks) head coach and a QB who is a physical outlier. Fans are going to fan their own way. But Tepper needs to figure out his own owning style.

LOL is this even a serious question ?

Cards weren't really blitzing that much the entire game. The ones they sent just wrecked Bryce. My opinion is you are over fixated on what happened as we got close to the goal. The one possession we had in the 3rd quarter? That was a freebie to get down there. It was literally just checkdowns to the TE when we weren't running the ball down... taking up the entire quarter. Next quarter Cards were inviting the exact same behavior. Which is why you got those back to back clock eating small ball 14 play drives. Featuring RB and TE easy catches.

I don't think they changed as much as you think between the INT and the final sack (immediate pressure with 4 linemen). They definitely stopped blitzing as much, if a blitz means rushing more than the front 4/5. They definitely did some exotic packages where they sent LBs/DBs and dropped linemen into coverage though. The fumble and INT were both blitzes. And yes they were successful. And yes, I agreed with Bryce not taking care of the ball. Really not many answers on those plays - just take the sack and live another play (unless you're Lamar). Which he didn't do. And no, you can't run prevent on the goal line. What's prevent defense to you? Alignment, personnel, cushion, etc.? Just curious. My reply was to the post that they sat back in some soft zone the whole game - until the end, when it mattered. That's not true. They blitzed, they disguised coverages and blitzers, they pressed, they bailed, they covered the flats, all of that. Not trying to argue. Just trying to inform. Actually they only blitzed once on the final drive, and the DB got away with a bad hold on Tremayne. Otherwise looked like it would have been a completion for a first down. The Cardinals' final drive defense looked a lot like the rest of the game. I know it's easy to get upset after a lose (I'm guilty), but Mondays are when cooler heads prevail. Right? Emotions can make us seem like we don't know what we're talking about. The Huddle isn't supposed to be that. I always saw it as a place to go discuss the Carolina Panthers with more than the casual fan, and their emotionally charged opinions. I can get that at the local grocery store, where they don't know anything about NC/SC, let alone the Panthers.

Poor guy went from the Ravens to this disaster
-
You have to make the best of it and find moments of happiness. So, I picked up the Falcons D in my money league for this week.
-
Nobody on the huddle was clamoring to sign Teddy Bridgewater before we were linked to him. Nobody on the huddle was clamoring to trade for Darnold before we were rumored to be interested. Very few people on the huddle were clamoring to trade for Baker back when he was with the Browns due to the rumors about him in the locker room. Regardless. All of them showcased more arm talent than Bryce Young. That alone cannot make a franchise QB but it can often mitigate other deficiencies. With Bryce Young the margin for error is already very slim given his size. With his lack of arm talent and the advantage that gives to defenses what you see is what you get. If you want to bury your head in the sand and reside in an alternate reality that's your prerogative.

Could have done this in the offseason...and should have
-
Falcons will put a horrible beatdown on us. They will run the ball at will. They will be merciless and will not step off of the gas like the Cardinals did.
-
Guys make no mistake Henson hooker fuging sucks like won’t be able to execute the offense but if we just wanna run play action da bomb flip to Tet all game that’d be pretty great. Hooker has a fuging hose

Going for 2 when you need 8 to win is one thing. When you need 3, 2 point conversions to even tie the game is nearly impossible. They would need to score 4 times to win the game regardless. Going for 2 at that point was idiotic because missing just 1 puts back to needing to score 4 touchdowns anyway. It was dumb then and it is still dumb now.
