Don't we have until May 1, 2026 to exercise the fifth year option for Bryce? If so, i think we take a wait and see approach since next year is still a bargain for us. It would be so stupid to give BY an extension. He will be here in '26 though.

As things now stand (picking 10-17...that's right, we are moving back in the draft right now from 16 to 17), we would probably have to take the 4th best edge rusher (Bailey Texas Tech) in the draft if we went that route.

You aren’t reading the post. I didn’t deny the existence of him throwing deep at Bama. I said he played on the most talented roster in college football and was lobbying balls to dudes Bama open. you know why AJ McCarton was tossing 30 TDs? You know why Blake Sims lead the SEC in passing TDs? Nick Saban had the best rosters in college football. Nothing close to it beyond Ohio State. And you want to know why Barrett and Haskins looked so good at Ohio State…..the answer is in the same ballpark. but it’s not ridiculous to say the Panthers under Bryce Young have been the most unproductive downfield pass attack in all the NFL…..that’s just facts. And there are no true Bryce comps because they don’t get to keep playing.

I wonder if there's an injury issue going on that's limiting but isn't enough to list on the injury report? I mean no one seeing significant playing time is truly 100% at this point in the season. Everyone is banged up to some degree.

I am not a PFF subscriber so I can't look at the game by game. IIRC, he has been on a bad streak of either "in a row" or "X out of the last Y." I know it has dragged down his season PFF rating quite a bit.
