  1. Past hour
  2. I’m an optimist thru and thru. I love any win this team can muster, and Bryce did what he could to keep the team in it, but he’s why the team was out of it to begin with. I like the guy, but he is not… he’s just not it… and I was swayed by the way he finished last season, but his physical limitations will never be overcome. A one arm tackle stopped him in his tracks en route for 6, among several other plays where an even average starter in the league succeeds. A franchise QB is supposed to be his own cheat code. Bryce needs a cheat code dude, that is not him, to win. Chuba CARRIED (literally) his ass last season. Thielen bailed him out EVERY game he played in last season. Today: Rico turned in one of the best games in franchise history, Tet was unguardable and put up at least 100 yards on his own (PI yards included), and the defense basically pitched a shutout after going down big so they could beat one of the worst teams in the NFL.
  3. Jimmy came thru today I hope he is active next week (2) NFL on X: "Bryce Young to Jimmy Horn Jr. on 4th down! MIAvsCAR on FOX/FOX One https://t.co/HkKw7uXVnt https://t.co/FYOfsxtAMk" / X
  4. Rico 10000% saved Bryce Young from being benched for the Dallas game. The way that game was going there was going to be no way to trot Bryce out next week at home if it kept going like it did. Bryce probably is safe from bench risk until the next home and home presents itself. He can’t be playing bad going into that next Atl game and then lay an egg in it.
  5. Why would you think Bryce knew how many timeouts they had
  6. I love EC and I think he did a good job today, but I like him better when he can bring that energy while being a homer for the Hornets. He was a little too high energy for an unbiased announcer today.
  7. Yeah it could be in my head but I felt like I was always seeing him on the same side as Waller
  8. I think it’s worth noting that a lot of those teams that he had “explosive plays” against last season didn’t have much to play for. It’s bad teams and teams that don’t have much to gain or lose that Bryce flashes occasionally against. It’s like the Cardinals 2nd half this season. If there is any sort of pressure or consequence, like if the game matters or the opponent is good or has something to lose, he isn’t worth a poo.
  9. Twitter loved him. Got a shout out from Ari Meirov, Brett Kollman, Matt Treina, PFF guys, and others
  10. It was obviously not that difficult in hindsight but I remember Gilmore locking up Kyle Pitts lol.
  11. If Horn was shadowing anyone, it would have been Waddle.
  12. He did great I hope he can call more games (2) Ari Meirov on X: "Charlotte Hornets announcer Eric Collins is calling the Panthers-Dolphins game on FOX and it has been electric. https://t.co/T5hgG1rhkM" / X
  13. Fair….I was way off and will eat my crow. Extra crispy please.
  14. I don't believe Horn shadowed anyone. He played his regular defense from what I saw.
  15. Love the signing in March, loving it even more today! Give this man more touches
  16. Lol I was on JV playing up and I didn’t have a chance at tackling Rico, I was on the field just completely lost and confused at someone moving that fast while running people over knew he was a hell of a player but I never thought I’d see what I saw today!
  17. Can't believe no one mentioned Moehrig in terms of run defense. The panthers post game radio show was singing his praises. Three TFL from a safety is a rare thing.
  18. Yes, but those are two separate issues. Using your best player more often as a decoy than a true target, just because your QB sucks, is just dumb and compounding your issues as then your bad QB is throwing the ball to inferior pass catchers on a more frequent basis.
  19. He's gained some confidence along with the other rookies. It's a blessing to see. Don't expect any of these folks to take back the things they've said about him though. They were ready to ship him out after 16 games but are still making excuses for the guy with 34 games under his belt. No consistency!
  20. Well sure, but that's not at all what I was saying, I wasn't saying we're the only team that ever uses their #1 as a decoy. My point was that I can't remember a team where there is such a talent gap between their top WR and the rest of their WR room, and then said top WR is used more often as a decoy than as an actual pass catching target, particularly in their rookie season such as Nabers last year and then the nothingness behind him in their WR room. Because I don't think anyone can objectively look at the play design and calls so far and say he's been running more routes with the intention of being a target than with the intention of clearing out space for Bryce to dump it off to someone else closer to the LOS. The other difference is when teams allow their #1 WR to be used as a decoy because teams are constantly double teaming them. Then they generally make sure to target them when they get left on an island in single coverage, something we routinely fail to do when T-Mac gets that coverage.
  21. the comp to Charles Johnson, am I misremembering that it took him until his third year to really blossom? Scourton seems ahead of that schedule.
  22. I assume at that point Canales likely didn’t want BY to attempt a real pass because of what a nightmare he had been at that point….but you can’t be sure given how bad his throws so consistently are. I don’t think at any point he was looking for a TD because the only play on the table where he looked would have been a endzone fade f sorts to tiny Horn Jr. Which is beyond dumb.
