  1. Past hour
  2. I can never root for any Canadian team to win a cup even against one of my hated American teams.
  3. His completion percentage was, but his total yardage was not, and that was with some atrocious WR play at times (though some major balling out by Thielen at times for sure). But he also had some really bad throws. His mechanics are far from perfect and NEED to improve. Receivers are no longer an excuse, either. I'm not saying he is a top 10 QB, just that in a lot of categories he was between average and just inside the top 10 in that stretch if we do things like considering his rushing as part of his production. My issue with him is we need to see within game and between game consistency. We saw some evidence of that possibility though.

  5. I love this. It's such random things completely separated from one another that it must be true. This time we will win the SB because J-lo is finally getting exposed for who she really is and that will part the darkness on the road to glory. Keep Pounding!!!
  6. only question left is are we playing the Bills, chiefs, ravens in the superbowl? Bills would certainly be the best in terms of just playing a cursed franchise
  7. this is really cool, also credit to Dan for holding the Rams hostage for that pick. I'm proud he didn't sell low on it.
  8. What the hell happened to Kyle Pitts? He looked like he was going to be one of if not the best TE of his generation when he put up over 1k yards as a rookie. Instead that looks likely to be the high water mark of his career.
  9. Anyone go to the concert at the panthers stadium?! What an absolute treat. Haven’t seen that stadium filled up in awhile. Still loud and having fun.
  10. More about Ransom, 4th round, pick 122. I found this to be very interesting--look how they used him at Ohio State-- Some of us had him as a Strong Safety, but I just think he is a hybrid. I mean, 60% of the snaps last year he had deep safety responsibilities. In 2023, Ransom was deep 53% of snaps. Note how that transition was gradual when in 2022, where he was deep only 31% of the time-- his primary responsibilities were as a box safety who covered the slot frequently. While his first duties were that of a box safety in 2022, he evolved into a deep safety with some slot coverage abilities. He is described as very smart, and you can see how Ohio State gave him responsibilities that require a very versatile skill set and level of intelligence. I think, when all the dust settles, Ransom will be our steal of the draft. Horn is right there with him.
  11. I find it interesting that TMac was shown here practicing without gloves. Is that a new approach to improving hands because the gloves are so sticky? If you think about the draft and evaluated the talent at each position and rate them by round, you see what the Panthers did--get the best WR in the draft. in round 2, you had WRs like Bech and Tre Harris going--meanwhile, the Panthers grabbed Scourton (late first round grade) and Princely (expected to be drafted in the middle of the second round). Bech and Harris were projected to be third rounders. If you evaluate the draft by your expectations of the performance of the talent, you are guessing and trying for clicks. However, if you understand the depth of talent at each position and align that with needs, the strategy becomes the issue--not a subjective guess. Did the Panthers address WR and Edge wisely, considering the players likely to be available? Yes. Ask yourself this: In the Panther system, is it possible that Scourton would be a better edge than Walker? I think he is a better fit. Princely? Better fit. Morgan had an excellent draft. When you see Ransom play S, you will be convinced that it was a Home Run. That pick was solid and he will be here for a long time.
  12. Wasn't sure where to put this; can't start a new thread. Anyone paying attention to the CWS? Tarheels cruise in first two games, set up regional championship with fully rested bullpen and tons of momentum. On the road to Omaha!
  13. Or it could be because we are building a pretty good team that is going to compete. But I expect us to win the division this year.
  14. Now that makes much more sense.... Feel better dude! I suspect they will will be searching for trades early in the offseason though.
  15. https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/nfc-championship/ we’re ahead of the Taints, so there’s that.
  16. Little worried about Jarvy Shoulder and that torn cuff, it's needed surgery for 2 years now and he's gonna play with it injured again next season. I like the toughness but would definitely prefer it to be fixed. He's an intritical player on the team going forward. Also I was high on pain pills last time I wrote about saving cap space but I didn't go into detail cause I wouldn't have been able to do so. "still on a ton of pain medication but not as nearly as many, think I'm down to 23 pills a day from 32 a few days ago, 18 of them are for pain management in some form or another." But I digress let's get to the point I was trying to make in my last post about saving, I'll now use Jarvis as an example. Let's say the canes spend 23m of the 28m in space they have available. Then have Jarvis get surgery and put him on LTIR at the start of the regular season. You let the cap space sit til the trade deadline. At the deadline that cap space would have accural on it and the team can use that space and spend 24m on incoming salary for the rest of the season. Let's say they bring in 5 players and send out two. "player A has an 8m AAV contract" he'd cost Carolina 4m the rest of the season. Player B makes 10 "cost of 5. So forth and so forth. Using that accural system and the Jarvis LTIR, the Canes could then go into the playoffs with a healthy Jarvis and be 19m over the cap legally for a cup run. The more cap space available at the start of the season, the larger the accural would be at the trade deadline. That was the first part of what I was going to try and articulate the other day but I'm on 35mg of oxy every 6 hours plus ketorolac and two other pain pills and another for kidney spasms. Have a wonderful night everyone
  17. The main thing that makes the NFL so appealing is how unpredictable it is
  18. Been listening to Lavar Burton Reads.
  19. Honest to God with all the crazy poo that has happened since 2020, who knows man... I'm sure as hell leaning in on this one though!
  20. So.... our destiny is tied to J Lo's marital escapades and Ohio State's fourtunes...... sounds totally legit.
  21. Negative Nancy after the last decade of shitty football we’ve been subjected to I don’t blame you…might finally be some light at the end of the tunnel though
  22. You’ll take your one year of relevancy per decade and like it
  23. Yesterday
  24. Wait, if this prophecy is true, doesn’t that mean we lose the Super Bowl
  25. I really like Smartless, Chinwag, Stuff you should know, MCU, and History that doesn't suck. What about you?
  26. Whoever is running this simulation has a great sense of humor. and damn, J.Lo was still with Marc Anthony in 2014? That poo seemed like 10 years before. Oh well, who tf cares. I just want to win a Chip!
