XL makes a list of sophomore breakout candidates
Gapanthersfan replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He better start the season strong. I like the guy, and I do think he will improve but I would think patience only goes so far on a team that is very serious about winning. Coker, Thielen, Renfro. NFL proven Clutch dudes who flat out don’t drop passes and run sick routes. TMac: beast Horn: Watch out If your boss tells you that you’re doing a pretty decent job but could use some improvement, then over the course of the next few months hires 3 more guys who can do your job, just in case…. Just sayin’ -
It’s the officiating that’s terrible, Csnes csn handle the Caps dirty plays.

Oh, I wasn't glossing over anything. You just can't polish a turd, so why even try? (And let's talk about what might be the real problem with our entire defense... and that guy isn't even on the field -- Evero.)

and surprisingly, NOT at an extreme pricing model. Coming this fall: An “unlimited” plan that included all ESPN networks and ESPN broadcasts on ABC will be available for $29.99 percent A “select” plan, which offers the current ESPN+ service will also be available. Disney will sell a full bundle of streaming services for $35.99 per month, but with an initial offer of $29.99 per month.

I also think he's admitting that the DLine was an abomination last year and not even Kuechly could have thrived behind it.

Actually, we traded him to the Clippers. The Clippers traded him to OKC for Paul George, the following year.

Hornets Screwed in NBA Draft Lottey...Again
WUnderhill replied to chknwing's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Yes and I said they clearly draft better than us in the exact post you quoted. And yet with all their success drafting no chip and the best player they ever had left them. Again, it’s hard enough without the lottery also being rigged. -

Played injured most of his rookie year as well. I hope he and TMac can hold down our WR spots for a long time. -
I actually believe all the injuries are attributed to being a loser franchise. Every team in the league has hurt players with varying injuries, but the winner's play ball anyway. It's the worst sports culture I have ever seen.

SCO96 started following Trevin Wallace - PFF Breakout Nominee
-
Just curious, how did you hear (or read) about Wallace studying with TD and Luke? For him to do that in year 1 shows a real dedication to his craft and could really take his game to a new level over the next couple of years.

Hornets Screwed in NBA Draft Lottey...Again
PantherChris replied to chknwing's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Oh I'm aware. The lotto is a joke both the NBA and NHL lottos every year there is a true generational talent the lotto miraculously hands them to a huge market team..... NHL New York climbs from 14 to 1 NBA Dallas from 15 to 1 -
Hornets Screwed in NBA Draft Lottey...Again
PantherChris replied to chknwing's topic in Charlotte Hornets
If they wanted actual fairness they would make the lotto only the able to move up or down 5 picks..... They claim its not to reward tanking but in reality the lotto in NHL and NBA really just take away the illusion of pariety. -
Unless we luck into a Steph Curry at pick 4 it literally doesn’t matter. Williams, Ball, and Miller will play like 5 games together and we’ll watch inefficient offense and half-ass defense all year until we shut everybody down again just to hope for another shot at the rigged lottery.

Official 2025 NHL Playoffs Thread

Edmonton has scored the winning goal in all 4 games.... -
Well, I was referring to the current OKC team. Who is their generational player? SGA? The Hornets were the ones who drafted him, at #11. And then traded him immediately. And even if he leaves OKC, they won 68 games this year, and are currently 2 games away from the conference finals. So, they've got a chance, which is something we've never said about the Hornets. My point being, even if the odds weren't stacked against us (which they are), we'd manage to screw it up anyway. Even if the lottery was legit, it's just a bad, bad look for the NBA. We've heard scattered "rigged" claims before, but last night everyone seemed to be in agreement. Even Mavs fans.

Round 6, Pick 32 (#208) - Jimmy Horn Jr, WR, Colorado
csx replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not going to get toooverly invested in him. He played for one of the top passing offenses in college. 4th in yards and 2nd in passing tds and had 440 yds and 1 TD. He was their 4th receiver.. -
I like how you're just completely glossing over our DL situation last year to attempt to drive home your preferred narrative. LOL A lot fewer RBs and off the ball LBs get drafted in the first round and land big money deals in the modern NFL. Get triggered by the word "devalued" if you want, but reality is reality.

Navy_football replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
One or two hits over the top and it will change the way defenses cover, a la Ted Ginn. If that happens early, he'll be on the field often.
