I keep looking at mock drafts out of habit. It’s mid December and we are very much in the playoff hunt. 7 wins is still a good season all things considered but I want to see how they handle playoff pressure.

Look, whichever way Sunday comes out, and I'm hoping for a win, there's still a lot of football ahead of us that can be very meaningful, either way. It's been a long time since these games meant anything.

I have not been this excited to see a game in years. Probably the game against TB in 2022 was the closest but this one feels different! Maybe because it isn’t like we are backing in to a spot. It is like I had forgotten what die-hard fan excitement feels like but did not even realize it. I would always watch and have a degree of looking forward to game starting, even though it would fade during the game, and winning was cool but did not matter a whole lot in grand scheme. NOW I remember how fun football can be when your team is actually in the mix and has something to play for. Some weeks it was almost a chore to watch but now I cannot wait until that game kicks off tomorrow afternoon. We have waited a LONG time for this. Keep pounding!

Yon be fair, before this year and partially last year, every stadium, including our own was a house of horror for Bryce. It's upnl to him to change that, and he slowly is. We will see if he can take a step these next 4 games.

Unless Bryce turns into the steady, consistent franchise QB we NEED him to be, we have to move off of him after 2026. This is why:

Evero is on the last year of his deal and he's not going to resign here. I think he's gonna try and interview for a HC job and if he doesn't get 1 then I can almost guarantee he's the Rams DC next year taking over for Chris Shula who's almost certainly gonna get a HC job this cycle. The Rams tried to hire him away in 2024, but we blocked the interview, so I have no doubt they are gonna go for him again. The Rams give him a better chance of getting a head coaching job, something Evero has made it known that he wants and his previous relationship with Mcvay and the front office there make it all but certain. With most of the defensive staff being Evero guys I think we see a pretty big turnover on the defensive coaching staff this offseason as most of them will follow Evero to LA. I'd look for Canales to bring in someone he's worked with in Seattle like Kris Richard or Gus Bradly or he could just promote Todd Wash to DC.

He wanted to go to Tampa Bay according to some sources. I saw an interview with him where imho he heged and reading between the lines I sensed he was ready to leave. I don’t say “absolutely” though lol.

The Bucs fan base has become delusional the last 5 or so years. I read for an hour this morning on message boards and X how they think they are going to A) Fire Bowles and ride an interim into the playoffs B) Fire Bowles at the end of the season and get Mike Tomlin C) Get Harbaugh from Baltimore and many other crazy theories that involve trading Baker for future HoF QBs at little to no cost. Living in the basement for 18 years and then having sudden success with Arians and Brady really messed with their psyche.

I'm 35 years removed from it, live within walking distance of West Ashley High, and an easy drive over to Summerville High in SC, and I have never and would never attend a game. I don't think I would go to a game at my HS alma mater for that matter unless I was physically forced. To each their own.

I suspect it is Burrow’s way of expressing frustration at the current state and direction of the team and basically saying - sort it out, or I’m out. Now that could be retirement, or it could be him wanting out via a trade, either way, shots fired. That said, I know that coverage has changed over the years and become more 24/7. We also have a generation (mine included) that talk more about needing to enjoy their careers rather than simply fulfilling the obligation of working. With that in mind, it would be interesting to compare how the QBs of the 70s, 80s and 90s would talk and handle things in a world where the cameras and coverage doesn’t stop. It would be interesting to see how they’d handle things compared to modern day athletes.

I mean get the run game going, limit Bryce to under 30 throws, Have Brown wreak havoc up the middle and hope to get a couple turnovers? That's basically been the game plan all year. Hopefully a fresh Rico and Chuba will negate that stacking of the box they were able to pull off last time. Aside from one or two throws here and there we're still getting passing yard mostly off of yac as well so if they stack the box just get Chuba and Rico both back there, option the handoff to Chuba, send Rico on a flat and send Jimmy Horn on a jet sweep and confuse the hell out of them lol.
