  1. Past hour
  2. Nah, torch the scouting department, front office and coaching staff all at once and rebuild them in the image of the new GM who has full control and final say.
  3. If it's any consolation, Stroud has looked like garbage since midway through last season, and Caleb Williams looks even worse. We took a shitty QB out of a bunch of shitty options. Lowkey there's some optimism to be had at that because Bryce is the worst of the batch and will get us a higher draft pick. Worst case scenario was drafting Stroud and going 7-9 for the next decade.
  4. Is there anything more grating than forced optimism
  5. Watch the film breakdowns if you want to really get mad about it. Some absolutely pathetic attempts on run blocking and running coverage away from intended receivers. He doesn't seem to care at all about being a team player, it's pathetic.
  6. A bunch of people are going to say he balled out against Arizona in this game, but he's the biggest reason why the Panthers lost.
  7. We’re stuck in a special kind of hell
  8. Gonna have to make it out to a game later this year and get that limited edition XL rat sandwich or whatever. Sounds like a 1 season promotion.
  9. Yes, yes, tell the other team to soft play zone all game and tell Bryce the refs spotted them 21 points and that the NFL made a change calling the entire game the 4th quarter. Then, we should be just dandy!
  10. I haven’t seen the games but the reports of lack of hustle and effort are damning him in my book. I had hopes for him this year but that is cause for being inactive on game day.
  11. but you specifically were alluding to games Bryce was able to flip a switch and balled in....when it wasn't garbage time. You protested that he didn't only flip the switch and ball in garbage time and listed games. just naming a close game doesn't equate to Bryce therefore balled. Which is what I was calling out. He didn't "ball out" in those games I selected from your list. Bar is so weirdly low w/ Bryce.
  12. Its not garbage time when you are in position to win the game.
  13. If he can't bounce back after getting hit over the middle from a player half his size almost a year ago, then that's on him.
  14. It's early and he's got time until he doesn't. It's just absurd at this point. One day in the near future he'll be done in the NFL. And everyone will talk about it in retrospect like they knew he was a bust.
  15. My read is they intended to try and get points but that first run and usage of the clock was done to hedge against things going poorly. Basically they shouldn't need all that time to score since they had multiple timeouts. Dirting that second play put us in a no-win situation. Sure you can run on 3rd down but ARI had timeouts so they still likely get the same result.
  16. Anyone catch Adam archuletta referring to him as a “young qb” like bitch this is year three players are in the Super Bowl by now.
  17. I never said he had a good game in the Denver game. As you said we had a good first drive ending in Bryce throwing a slant to XL for a TD. It was garbage time but the back shoulder throw to Coker for the late TD was a great throw. Throws like these in bad games are why I say he "can" do it and has the physical tools. The question is can he do it consistently, continue to improve, grow and become our QB of the future. Up to this point that was a hard no but with a new head coach and Bryce in his 2nd year it was 100% the right call to play out the year and see if he got better. He did. Two games into this year is still more of the up and down quality of play and coaching but there is still plenty of potential and we have 16 more games to decide if it's worth it to continue down this path. I don't know what will happen but I know cutting him or benching him now makes zero sense on any level. I said of those last 10 games we were only blown out in 2 of them. I'll concede the Denver game was a blow out. So 3 blowout loses and 7 competitive games, 4 of which we won, all decided by less than a TD. Sounds like a team growing, improving and getting better. All I want to do is see where that leads and if those examples of starting NFL level quarterbacking can continue to improve and become more consistent. Anyone with pride would retire? Laughable. Do all of you quit in your daily lives every time things get tough or don't go your way?
  18. I think Canales gets fired during the '26 season, and we don't want to replace a GM and a coach in the same year. Fire Evero and Morgan this year. The new GM can fire Canales at the end of next year and pick his replacement.
  19. The league should give us a miniature Lombardi if we manage five wins.
  20. So weird that even with the most “productive” quarter of Bryce’s career they still can’t get over 22 points. some weird magical number
  21. @ForJimmy--I watched his '24 highlights and there's a lot to like. He's mobile, for certain, but it seems that's his default because he's so good at it. Lots of RPO stuff. He's slippery in the pocket, but too quick to vacate it. I saw very few pocket throws into tight windows, which is the hallmark of an elite QB, especially at the next level. Green is a playmaker, there's no denying that. I thought his arm was adequate to above average. I assumed a big QB like that would have a cannon. Ball placement was also above average. He's an intriguing prospect, but I'm not sure he's going to end up a top 10 prospect and that's where we are most certainly going to be picking. If Sellers doesn't come out, he's probably the next best dual threat QB.
  22. I was right there with you. I hoped for the best and tried to support once he was drafted. But the media created legend of Bryce Young the draft prospect was honestly like nothing I've ever seen. For a kid who didn't even play all that particularly great for Alabama (Mac Jones was the better college QB and it really wasn't close) he received an insane level of benefit of the doubt. From his supposed elite football IQ elite processing elite preparation elite field general abilities elite leadership yada yada the guy could do absolutely no wrong. Even when he showed up to the combine and hid out in a hoodie refusing to throw nobody batted an eye. And even after that he was still compared to current and past hall of famers in the NFL and other sports across the spectrum. If he didn't play for Saban and Alabama it would have been and would be right now completely different in the way he was and is perceived. But again. I've never seen anything like it for other prospects that I can think of in recent memory. Others have been dissected in some way or another. Maybe the only other comparison I would make would be Andrew Luck. But Luck had the necessary physical intangibles that Bryce Young very plainly lacked when you sit down and watch the tape. It was crazy then and it is still crazy now.
  23. Yeah I didn’t remember how many guys were on offense besides him that were taken but did figure he was facing one, maybe two guys that would be drafted from whatever defense it he was playing. Then the out of conference games against smaller schools that are basically exhibitions, sheesh, you know they can feast. The other thing is, out of those 62, how many really had NFL bodies at that point? Few of them. Most will be different players after a year of NFL training and body development. So you have to think about what the difference is. Even with the SEC guys that got taken, they will be better in the pros too. So when you factor all that in, and look at the Bryce tape and the Bryce pro day and whatever, I just will never understand why.
  24. Call up DeAngelo Williams and tell him to run the wildcat.
  25. The Card's DC should be fired for running prevent against Bryce. Why on earth would you back your guys up to defend parts of the field that Young cant even throw the ball to?
  26. I for one am ready for the Bryce experience to be over. His limitations are mind numbing and will never change and all the talk about him being a super processor and point guard was just propaganda that Tepper fell for hook, line, and sinker. Put his soft ass on the bench and move on.
