  2. I love Chubba. Been a fan since I heard about his story when he was at Ok St. and no doubt his production and progression is impressive, but this is my one nitpick - he was always touted for his speed, having come from a track background, so I am honestly surprised he doesn’t have more breakaway runs for TDs than what he has achieved thus far. But to be fair, it often feels like he is constantly having to break tackles, so when he breaks the last one where it would just be nothing between him and the end zone, that usually took long enough that a defender from the opposite side of the field got an angle to catch up. I really hope with the receiver additions, Bryce moving forward with confidence and proving that ending stretch last season wasn’t an aberration, and another year of synergy for the OL, Chubba is gonna have some wide open running this season. He is definitely special. Proud of him and happy he is getting rewarded for all his hard work…
  3. Didn't i say passing other cars?
  4. If you're in the left lane, look to the right. Is there someone beside you? Are you soon overtaking someone in the right lane immediately ahead of you? No and no? Then get the fug over. That's how it's supposed to work. Doesn't matter if you're going 100.

  6. Vikings are getting close with their Skoal Chant but nah, bruh, NFL will never be this cool.
  7. this I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02. The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
  8. The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't. I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends. The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
  9. My long and rambling post: The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays. It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season? Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody. Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch. Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it. Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born. Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years. A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels fun again.
  10. Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list. though Faulk was better career wise
  11. Maybe faked was too strong of a word. "Milked" may be the better way to call it.
  12. I think if you can develop a rookie or a player on a first contract, you accept this if he is trending up. If he is in his prime and making second contract money, nope.
  13. Funny timing - was chatting with my long time friend about this game. Watched that catch from the other corner of the endzone in 336. Got rid of those seats in 21' & that memory is probably THE one most baked in my cranium of all of them. Beating DAL in 96' (have feint memories of), NE on Monday night and the NFCC romping as the others. That season overall is still the one I have the most impressionable memories from.
  14. It’s just a game man. Chill out. whether we are good or not doesn’t truly matter. Personally, I am indifferent even though I will watch every second of every game. My expectations are gone. Any contention for playoffs is a cherry on an otherwise very large, very long, unfulfilling pie.
  15. My feeling is they had to make it relatable for generations that came after the gen -x’ers. Can’t have too many old heads on the list. NOBODY wanted ANYTHING of AD or LT. Brees. If teams kept prime Brees from 3 or fewer TDs and less than 275 yards, in the dome, then Brees had a bad night and would make up for it the next game. Best field surgeon I’ve ever seen. Brady had the damn shining, but Brees was something else.
  16. I was about to say idk if people know how mid or weak wood was, but I’m not sad about him walking
  17. Four Panthers selected. Jared Allen, while only here for a single season before retiring, really helped us get to the Super Bowl in 2015.
  18. You yourself finally showed up here after the first two games all but waving the white flag so don't hurt yourself getting down off that high horse my friend. And as far as throwing deep goes while he showed improvement we are still waiting and wanting to see that consistently and early in the season when we are playing for playoff position. And let's just be completely clear here. We've selected first round wide receivers in back to back drafts including an 8th overall pick in order to give ourselves the best possible look at Bryce as a passer. The FO despite their faults are at least trying.
  19. Considering how you and a few others were saying that the team needs to move on from Bryce in 2025, that he isn't good throwing deep, and has no chance of being a quality NFL QB... I'd say inevitably incorrect.
  20. I think the difference is that this year we are basing our hype over players and not the coaching staff. Especially under Reich. The star-studded coaching staff was going to put us back on top. This year the offense improves with the addition of TMAC and keeping all our O-line assets on the roster plus we added depth at RB and TE. Evero was retained because, IMO, he didn't have any talent to work with outside of a couple of players. This year almost every position was address and IMO better depth. There are a few question marks but the improvement of the D-line may help cover some flaws in the backend. I am more excited about this season, talent wise, than I have been in several years.
  21. A few autographs i have. Stephen Davis Jonathan Stewart Chuba Belongs. (1 B, 2 B's, who honestly gives a fug).
  22. I don't think he faked any injuries. He is juat injury prone due to overtraining and general makeup. There is no conspiracy here.
  23. He is "Keep Pounding." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45498715/nfl-carolina-panthers-chuba-hubbard-olympics-flag-football-track
  24. This. He knows where the seam is about to open, cuts, and accelerates hard. He’s slippery and tacklers always seem to be taking awkward angles to get to him. No dancing. Runs low and powerful. Almost never goes backwards for a loss. We’ve rarely had the guy who bounces off of tacklers. It’s nice seeing another one.
