  1. Past hour
  2. That's the same issue that tall QBs with bad footwork have. It isn't an issue of size. You could argue his lack of size makes it harder for him to compensate for bad footwork (for example, Cam Newton, whose footwork was atrocious especially early in his career but he made up for it because he was a great athlete) and I would agree with that. But the footwork itself isn't a size problem. He's no less capable of improving his footwork than someone who is 6'5. In my opinion anyway.
  3. The irony of Gabbert being in Carolina…the QB pundits wanted drafted over Cam
  4. Damn why'd he have to throw in a clip of CJ's significantly better velocity? lol. Almost none of BY's throws are on a rope, most are dive bombing as they get to the WR hence the lack of Yac on a lot of them. Even if it's only a couple yards if he could hit these guy so they aren't going to their knees just to get the catch it would make a big difference
  5. I’m sorry friend wanted to get it out there because I felt it was fair and balanced…something I’ve stopped being with Young as I simply feel he is a bad fit for the NFL. …alas, sometimes life interferes with the HUDDLE. I had intended to do a top 8 synopsis of good and bad but…obligations
  6. Wow. Florida two years in a row heading to the ECF. Great goalie play in Bob and scoring. We had a better team but were worse in goal. We owned them in the regular season. Just shows what elite goalie play looks like. bob vs Igor. At what point does rod just roll with Koochie. This is our future being fuged over by stubborn rod.
  7. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Cousins' Achilles rehab isn't going great because the Penix pick honestly felt like a panic move. But then again, the Packers have probably had the best QB play in the NFL over the past 30 years with Favre and then Rodgers and now Love showed great promise last year. They didn't need a QB when they drafted both Rodgers and Love and both guys sat for multiple years. The strategy has been working. Maybe the Falcons are trying to recreate that?
  8. First off...you missed the point of what I said. All I said was the offense could be setup to not have to rely on bryce in the same manner as other qbs if its working. And Yes the rest aren't proven commodities but NEITHER is bryce so I don't understand what you are getting at there. Lastly what is with this questioning of if bryce is liked? Liked how? Personal or football? See thats the problem with fans like you, you are so invested in a individual you respond to any critsicm with "do you like him". My opinion on bryce is strictly football....I DONT KNOW BRYCE PERSONALLY so I don't have anything against him in that regard. Far as football I said from the start I didn't see him as a top nfl Qb and he hasn't shown me anything so far to say I was wrong so based off your question...no. Just like everybody else on here, it's strictly football. Asking if he is liked in that regard, it's clearly no. He hasn't shown enough to be liked on the field.
  9. Regardless of the reasons for drafting Penix, they had the worst pass rush in the NFL last season. That should have been the focus of pick 1.
  10. Today
  11. Its not a bad idea but they shouldn't have taken a guy that will be 28 by the time he plays.
  12. yeah for example the Green Bay & San Fransico model of drafting your young Qb 2 to 3 years prior to starting for the established vet has been a successful philosophy to follow in years past ... Montana...Young Favre...Rodgers maybe yeah just maybe Cousins...Penix makes sense...just saying
  13. I get what they are doing, going for long term sustained success instead of short term gain. Cousins gives them the ability to compete now, and in two or three years, if they think Pennix can play, they cut or trade Cousins and go with Pennix for the foreseeable future. Akin to what Green Bay did with Favre, Rogers, and now Love. If it works out for Green Bay and Atlanta, might see other teams do the same thing. Personally, I wish we had let Cam play out his contract and drafted a younger guy that same year, instead of cutting cam and the ridiculous signing of TB.
  14. Chark bail him out? Bryce was having to throw precision passes while he was blanketed in coverage because Chark could not get open. And Bryce was trying to make something happen. Chark was making highlight reel catches because Bryce was putting it in a window that only he could get it. The only receiver that was bailing out Bryce was Theilan. He was the only receiver that was able to get open or would try to fight back to the ball
  15. Either he’s our guy or he leads us to a high draft pick to try again. Don’t really care at this point as long as we can finally figure out how to win consistently.
  16. If Cousins leads them to an nfcs berth because of our terrible division, they may not have an opportunity to get another Penix if he’s the kind of QB they want. 1-2 years to get used to NFL speed and develop the way rookie QBs should doesn’t hurt his value or long term plan. I’m not a fan of his injury history, but who are we to judge. We’ve been a revolving door of terrible QB play since 2018. That said. fug the Falcons.
  17. the Falcons are absolutely headed in the right direction & anyone that denies that is just simply jealous I have them as the most complete team from top to bottom in the NFCS...just saying
  18. 5 wins would be a great year for this team after what happen last years.
  19. Yesterday
  20. For the first time under Rod we looked slow and tired. Im know Freddie was used to going at least once a week to stay fresh. Going every other night proved to be too much. To a lot of folks point, it’s why we should have used Koochie more. This last game reminds me of the double overtime win vs the cape. They looked worn out and we just kept coming. Do we need the youth movement to complement the core?
  21. Id prob start looking around week 2 if I was flying in. I’d be checking everyday on Gametime. Although if I was a betting man you can prob find tickets the cheapest a few days before but I understand not everyone wants to take that big of a risk, especially if you’re flying in.
  22. Drinking early are we? Seriously, if they pull that off I may have to give D&D a little credit. I'm not seeing it but I love the enthusiasm.
  23. Bryce is going to have to play a great deal from under center if we are going to stop being so predictable offensively and more importantly actually score touchdowns. When you pair being in shotgun 90% of the time with the fact no one on defense had to worry about us going deep downfield how could we even have effectively judged our running backs? And even when we had games where the run game was producing our passing game was a downgrade from even Teddy Bridgewater. You can see why Canales wanted a 6 year deal eh? No pressure Dave.
  24. Malanda for mvp! Bill tulimo better never set foot on the field again
  25. In addition to BY fixing his footwork and all that, This offense will need a lot more under center calls to be convincing and BY still didn’t look very comfortable with that even late into last year. Sanders sucked but who really know who was handing off the wrong direction, the lobs to interceptions after faking the hand offs, just wasn’t good
  26. Agreed. Part of letting it play it is just sitting back and seeing how Bryce does this year. I do enjoy the offseason and trying to figure out roster building strategies/philosophies though.
