Negative Huddlers

Recommended Posts

The reality is that the water is half way up the glass. Optimists say it is half full. Pessimists say it half empty. They are both realistic but they have a different perspective. People who tend on focus on the negative are no more realists than those who are focused on the positive.

Well, the realist would just finish drinking the water and not get hung up on semantics half way through.

Maybe.  On the other hand he might say he wasn't full, there isn't any more and start bitching about it.  Realists are often pessimists who make excuses for all the negativity.

More often times pessimists try to pass themselves off as realists

... and optimists are often fair-weather homers that try to pass their lack of football insight / knowledge as blind faith for their GMs / coaches.

There is evidence to suggest being negative has some genetic links but it is a choice.  Problem is that most people prefer the negative and politics, marketing and many things in our lives focus on the negative.

Agreed, When was the last time you have watched TV or read a internet blog and it was positive. People love drama and drama is never positive.
