Overall Impressions

This was the third practice the media has been allowed to watch, and after a slower start, the Panthers did a lot more ones vs ones in team drills. Still a bit unfair to judge offensive line against defensive line in these practices. Overall impression is just how many spots are fluid heading into next week’s minicamp, and that’ll likely be the same story going into training camp.

Why is blackburn still in 1st team defense instead of aj klein?

That jumped out at me too but read the disclaimer: "Overall impression is just how many spots are fluid heading into next week’s minicamp, and that’ll likely be the same story going into training camp."

Man norman really does seem to have potential hope he can finally contribute on the field in a positive way this season. Also looks like white may not be one of the two starting corners

Norman and White split time today. White should be a starter but its still a little early to start putting together a depth chart.

I like Blackburn just fine, but I think Klein just has more upside and overall talent. Might just be a case of giving him another year to learn before putting him in the starting spot. Besides, things always change between now and opening day.

    • On another note, Kevin O'Connell is a great coach
    • I was pissed when we traded up to  the #1 overall pick  I said on this forum right after we made that trade withe the Bears watch us turn right around & give the #1 overall pick back to the Bears next season because I already knew we would draft Bryce Young with that pick & he would be a bust & yes I was right & not just right but absolutely right   Bryce Young had all kinds of red flags coming out of colleg.simply put that was about the riskiest #1 overall pick for a Qb I have ever seen in my entire lifetime  & still right to this day years later until Bryce Young proves me wrong . ..just saying  good luck
    • He wasn't and those people were wrong. Winning and putting up numbers at lower levels does not always translate to the NFL. There's no shortage of great HS players who didn't translate to college and great college players who didn't translate to the NFL. It looked very obvious to me on the college field that Bryce didn't have NFL level physical talent and that's what's playing out at the NFL level.
