most teams are done for the season when their starting QB goes down.  I don't have that fear with Derek Anderson.  You better get a damn good deal to toss him out.

I really don't know why anyone thins Derek Anderson is trade bait. He begged Cleveland to sign him. They declined in favor of Brandon Weedon and Brian Hoyer. Everyone outside of Charlotte thinks DA is one of the worst backups in the league.

He fits the Panthers because he gets along with Cam and has veteran insight. Nobody is trading anything for DA.

When was that? He was a FA for the first time what last year? He begged to go to the poo storm that chud left or was in?

Shaun Hill is gonna get a shot in St Louis.  Or at least that is the story the coach is putting out.  What else would he say?  He would need a vet though for sure to mentor if Bradford cannot mentor on a bad leg.  Before Cams injury, I would say yes, not now.

 

Scratch that, Hill is in his 30's, guess he will not need an older guy to help

No, I haven't seen enough of Webb and what I have seen is him throwing against mostly 3rd string players and guys simply trying to make the roster. Anderson isn't a running QB but he knows the system far better than Webb does...

YES! If Cam goes down don't fool your self no one is coming in to save the season. Back Qbs are only good to hold the fort down, not make playoff runs.

Maybe that was the plan all along when they signed Webb.  Anderson is not a great match for the Cam System.

Another point:  If this offense has to depend on its backup QB, we are all playing for next year.   Anderson can win games in the NFL, but as a scouted, game-planned-against starter, he is not that great.  Career passing 52% or something like that is not good.
