"They talking about us" - Lions forum sweep

I enjoyed their smack thread. Better than ANYTHING the Bucs fans wrote

Matt Ryan wears braided belts.

Absolutely the best so far. At the end of the season we need to put together a prize package for the best smack thread in an opposing forum. All teams get a shot except Pitt. Winning writer gets, like, a box of Bo-berries and a Zod headshot or something.

More Panthers chat from the Lions:

http://det.scout.com/forums/1801-the-den/13135703-lets-look-at-the-panthers?s=93

Its good to hear some intelligent football talk after last week. There's mutual respect on both sides and the stats to back it up:

These Panthers are a really, really good team.  Greg Olsen is a heck of a TE (the Bears made a HUGE mistake getting rid of Greg), they have 3 good RBs and their WRs may leave a little to be desired but their rookie #1 is big, fast and hungry.

The Lions allowed the 2nd LEAST sacks on offense in 2013 versus the Panthers league leading 60 sacks.  that will be a real test.  Those long developing WR routes are gonna be even tougher against a team used to playing the Saints twice a season.  The Panthers spilt with the Saints in 2013.

Kinda makes me wish the trash talk was back...

LOL a Detroit fan calling Charlotte a government bailout city? Oh, the irony.

Exactly.

All of the money they dumped into GM and they still could not keep that shithole out of bankruptcy....not to mention that the banks paid all of the bailout monies back to the gov't.

No one from Detroit (or a fan of the Lions) has any room to talk smack about any city or team.  It is the worst city in the country and their team is one tiny step above being the Cleveland Browns.  Hell, the Browns never went 0-16, so maybe the Lions are lower.  I would be suicidal if I lived in Detroit.

I've lived in Charlotte for 8 years and lived in Detroit for 4 and while I do agree Charlotte is very hillbilly, it does not compare to the trash city known as Detroit. I literally turned down tens of thousands of dollars to live here in Charlotte vs. there. Dirty cold city full of trash, drunks, STDs, racists, corruption, and ghettos. There is no class in that city and it's a shame because it does have nice history and was once beautiful.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
