Need suggestions for smartphone apps.

Essential Apps:

 - Carolina Huddle

What games are great time killers?

 - I hear Candy Crush is all the rage (It's the only game I play right now)

 - People also like Clash of Clans, but I think it's better on a tablet.

What about antivirus'?

 - Don't worry about downloading an anti-virus app.  Just download apps from the store and don't do anything funky on the internet from your phone

Any other suggestions to what apps are useful?

 - Banking app

 - The Chive is a good time killer.  It has galleries of random pictures.  This includes women.

 - Fantasy Football app if you play (Yahoo or ESPN)

 - Some news application (sports and regular)

That's all I can think of for right now.  I'll let others add some.

Games that have stuck are Hay Day and clash of clans but both are better on a tablet.

Other apps:

Turboscan is a great little app to scan in documents to pdf on the road.

Skydriod is for telling you yardage on the golf course.

Zillow tells you house prices around where you are at the time

Instragram/facebook/Twitter etc

The rest are specific to me but if you trade stocks your broker will have an app. I have one that tells me if the garage door is open, one that controls the thermostat.

Flipboard is my personal favorite. It compiles all of your favorite news sources and lets you create custom magazines.

Weather Underground's WunderMap app has basically real-time radar - way better than Weather Channel

If you travel a lot, download the airline apps you need.

Uber, if you live in a City where Uber is available.

Convert Units is another handy app that I use regularly.

Tiny Flashlight + LED by Nikolay Ananiev (it's the best one)

Google Sky

MX Player - plays a lot of the formats smart phones won't

Where's My Droid - lets you set your phone up to automatically search for itself should it get lost, ring loudly and reset it like a kill switch.

The hands down best app you can get, and it is growing well here in the Carolina's, is Waze.  It is now owned by Google but it is a social GPS.  That means when others are on the road running the app the app than notices who is below speed or above speed and can show you on the map, as well as be updated immediately to route closures, etc.  If there is a cop, traffic accident, fog, closure, deer, or stopped vehicle other users update their map with the exact point of the incident and you can than be on the lookout.

It really helps on I85.  Especially thru Lexington at MM91 where the cops always hide on the Southbound lane.

Waze is pretty amazing. Its taken me home using roads I've never heard of, and dead accurate on ETA.

yahoo weather is amazing, so amazing it looks funny to see other people with a less than appealing app.

Radar now..  yahoo weather doesn't have an interactive radar but that doesn't matter, this is worth downloading.

to kill time...

flipboard is a must..   just download it.

nasa app

luminosity

the chive (as previously mentioned)

billguard, pretty user friendly money managing program that also notifies you of weird charges.

onavo count, helps you keep track of your data

snapdragon battery guru, interesting app that records your activity for a period of time and efficiently controls your batter life around how you use your device.

system panel lite if you like to see how your phone is operating, etc

swiftkey instead of traditional typing program.  took a while to get used to it.  similar to the battery program, will adapt itself around your typing habits..

games:

super stickman golf 2

C.S.R. Classics is pretty cool..  (without the periods)

some programs I switched out instead of what came with the phone:

QuickPick instead of the photo gallery

Business Calender, has a slicker, more efficiently spaced widget that gives me my to-do list for that day.

Chomp SMS

Google Drive, 15g free of backup..  might as well utilize that space, just don't upload photos of you pulling off The Goat..  we dont' want to see that.

AWD config to change up how your phone looks

wallpaper changer, because I don't want to look at the same wallpaper every time I use my phone.

I have a Droid Bionic.  It's 3 years old but it is still a kick ass phone.  The best part is that I was too lazy to cancel my insurance on it so because I had a system malfunction on it.  Basically, I have a new phone.

Anyway, it has an App preinstalled called smart actions.  Depending where I am at (via GPS), time and other factors it will change backgrounds, configurations, and other things.  Which of these apps do this???  AWD?  or WP changer?

and does the snapdragon thing?  Yeah, more about that, please?

    • And those targets are mostly going to TMac, who will be a part of the FUTURE of the team. Did it remove the most reliable WR and Bryce's safety blanket? Absolutely. But it's also allowing him to build better chemistry with TMac, Stephens, Horn, Evans, etc. I am pumped to see Coker back and hopefully they can reignite that connection.
    • It's the same thing that made Bryce the #1 overall pick. I've never seen such mass delusion about a football player before. Everyone convinced themselves that the fact that Bryce was below to severely below average in practically every physical attribute for an NFL QB just wouldn't matter because he has everything else you need and that'll more than make up for it. When has such an argument ever been made for an NFL prospect before? We watch prospects plummet every year because they run a couple tenths slower in the 40 time than expected. Smitty had everything you want in a receiver except he was 5'9" so he goes in the 3rd round. That's the way these things generally go. If you check a lot of boxes but leave some key ones unchecked you're not an elite prospect. With Bryce though, the physically limitations were always obvious so it gave more time to be able to build that into the equation and come up with reasons for why he'd be able to overcome it. Now we have all these same shortcomings having shone brightly on the NFL field and we STILL have people trying to convince themselves he'll be able to overcome it while ignoring that our past two wins and his improved play have come while riding the back of RB putting up GOAT RB production over the past two weeks. What changed wasn't Bryce. What changed is that Rico is playing out of his damn mind. Pretty much every NFL roster caliber QB can shine if he can get 200+ yards out of the RB behind him.
    • I'm gonna manifest that poo!
