DeAngelo signed a lucrative contract at a position where RBs are devalued.  I think the hate is for Hurney, after signing DW and Stewie to huge contracts while ignoring WR.

Some people also just realize at 31 in this offense.....he should not be talked about like he is close to the dude that ran the ball at 25.

His cap hit prevents us from improving as a team. We are paying 2008 DWill prices but getting a Free Agent RB in return. Not his fault and nothing personal...and his defenders are a close second only to Armanit Edwards supporters in annoyance factor.

I'd be on the DWill bandwagon if he could still break tackles. He did look good against Tampa, but I need to see more.

It just seems like DeAngelo gets all the hate for all of Hurney's bad contracts.  Meanwhile, Stewart's contract is even worse with a lot more dead money left on it AND he's produced very little since getting that new contract, yet he doesn't seem to get half the hate that DeAngelo gets.  Weird.  Neither guy is to blame for their contracts and injuries are largely beyond control, but at least for the most part DeAngelo has been out on the field at least attempting to earn his paycheck.
