This might be the week the NFC South bounces back.

Last week, 3 out of the 4 teams in the NFC South faced tough road games against teams contending for playoff spots.  And all of them lost.

Falcons @ Ravens

Saints @ Lions

Panthers @ Packers

(Tampa on a bye)

This week, all 4 NFC South teams are at home.

Lions @ Falcons

Packers @ Saints

Seahawks @ Panthers

Vikings @ Bucs

It's no secret the Falcons and Saints play much better at home in their domes.  I expect the Saints to give the Packers all they can handle and might squeak out a win.   The Falcons/Lions matchup has potential to be a shootout and might be close to over/under 80 points.  The Panthers get the Seahawks making their second consecutive cross-country trip and playing what amounts to a 10am game for them.  After losing at home to the Seahawks the past two seasons, I think this might be the year the Panthers finally beat them.  And Tampa gets a winnable game at home against the struggling Vikings who've lost three straight.

The NFC South might be the worst division in the NFL right now, but I think this might be the week they show some life and bounce back.

Saints will get smoked by GB.

Detroit's pass rush will eat Matt Ryan alive.

Bucs and Vikes are two terrible teams, so Bucs might have a chance.

I would love nothing more than another 1-3 NFCS week, with Carolina being the only victor.

I don't care what others think about the division.

I sure hope not and I for one don't think the saints stand a chance vs the packers home or not.

I'm taking off my homer glasses for this.  If Jimmy Graham is anything close to healthy, he's going to have a big game.  Olsen had 8 catches on 8 targets for 105 yards against the Packers.  The Saints would be wise to feed Graham over the middle and take advantage of the Packers weakness in covering the TE.

truly, anything can happen any week in the modern NFL. there are very few "gimme" games. while i think its possible that the NFC south goes 4-0 this week, i highly doubt it. The Saints and Bucs have the best chance at winning their games. I dont think Atlanta will pull out a win against that stiff Detroit defense. and our beloved Panthers face a much better Seattle team that is just as desperate as we are. it wouldnt surprise me at all if Tampa is the only NFC South team to win this week... of course, it wouldnt surprise me at all if Tampa loses to the lowly Vikings either...

    • I'm looking at the schedule and I see a 10+win season easy.  I think Carolina goes undefeated in the division.  I also believe that the Bears, Bengals, Lions, Browns, Steelers are very winnable.  Revenge game with phillips and the eagles could be a win.  Honestly only 2 games I see as chalking up a L to off the bat is the Seahawks and Broncos.
    • I guess so. Don't think I was involved with previous discussions.  Tepper is one of the newest owners in the NFL. Dan is going into his 3rd season as a GM - ever. Dave is going into his 3rd season as a HC - ever. Before becoming a HC, he was an OC/playcaller for one season total. Idzik is about to go into his 1st year as a play caller - ever. WRs are rookies, sophomores and 3rd year guys - though the experienced 3rd year guys are XL and Coker (who has missed a ton of games). TEs are guys going into their 2nd and 3rd seasons, and Tommy Tremble - though Sanders has missed a ton of games. QB has played 3 years. Chuba is an experienced RB, but Brooks and Etienne have taken very little snaps at the position. O-line is more experienced vets with some talent - which is HUGE. Need them to stay healthy. I mean the offense is very young in every aspect except O-line. You see it differently?
