The GM needs to have a press conferance

Dave gettleman never lied.

He said there would be growing pains. This is it. Unfortunately we are unable to compete with this line and cam is loosing more and more confidence by the week.

this. i keep fighting off the urge to join the "can gettleman" crowd. he told us, cryptically, that this was going to be a tough year; a rebuilding year of sorts. but the fanbase (myself included) got stars in their eyes through training camp and the first two games.

i almost wish Gettleman would have reminded us that this was going to be a tough season during training camp, being ballzy and honest saying we didnt have all the pieces we'd like to have or something. that would've made this collapse alot easier to take. but that may also have destroyed the confidence of the players before hand so i guess for him it was a catch-22. damned if you do and damned if you dont.

for now, i am not blaming Gettleman. i was hoping for, at least, a more competitive team even if we had still lost the same amount of games. but for now, Gettleman is not drawing my ire. Shula is the first person that needs to go. If that doesnt fix the problem, Rivera's head needs to be the next to roll. if that doesnt fix the problem either, Gettleman will be the next in line. that would be at least a 3 year process and would give Gettleman 2-3 more seasons after this one to turn the trend line of this team upward for good. 2-3 years would also get us into a more liberal salary cap figure for him to work with. if he cant field a competitive team in 5-6 total seasons, he needs to go. for now, he is still in his... what... second season? third? less than halfway through either way. Gettleman deserves more time. thats my stance until Gettleman exhausts all his options for turning this team around.

Chandler, Bell, and the rookie Canadian. The three worst offensive tackles to ever start for one team in the same season.

Smh so terrible....and it's not even like those are developmental players.....essentially what we're getting now is the best they have to offer.

At least he could give some glimpses as to his mindset for the future. I wonder if his philosophies regarding FA and the draft are the same (perhaps stubbornly), or rather perhaps he has modified his philosophy to give need more of a priority, notwithstanding the current cap situation.

I've always found it weird that he hides. Most GMs do weekly, or bi-weekly, shows/interviews, and Gettleman does like two a year.

Hell, even Hurney did a radio show once a week when he GM.

He'll just keep sending the players and coaches up to the podium to take the media lashing that he set them up for with this dumpster fire of a roster.  We all hoped for the best this season while fearing the worst.  The problem is that the reality is even worse than the worst that we'd imagined.  We've only won one of our last 6 games and half of the games we've played have been blowout losses.
