Congrats to the Saints

Overall it was a well played, clean game by them. They are clearly the best team in the south right now and most likely on to the division title. Unless things change dramatically, I do not see any way the Panthers overcome this deficit given the remaining schedule and the state of the offense.

This game would be completely different if Cotchery catches that ball inside the 5 and Bersin catches his around the 30. That was at least 10 points that the offense gave away early.

Both catchable balls, but the Cotchery pass was high and the Bersin pass was ill timed and came behind him just as Bersin changed direction. Fault for both of those is shared with Cam and the O-Line.

As bright as the future looks for KB, it's painfully clear we put too much on a rookies shoulders his first year. We've got him out there expecting him to be our main threat and haul in tough catch after tough catch in the end zone like a veteran, and he just isn't ready for that role yet.

I had no doubt the Saints would win.  The Panthers offense is absolutely terrible right now.  The defense is playing better but can't be expected to be dominant if the offense can't keep them off the field.  Cam is playing as bad as he has in his entire career.  Is that just on the O-Line?  No.  He had lots of time to throw.  A lot to think about right now, but one thing is for sure.  The Panthers are NOT making the playoffs this year.  Pack it up.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
