OC candidates.

WOW!!

That want to come work for a lame duck coach? See offseason 2013.

If you got the balls to think you can impress enough to land the head job here you might be willing to risk it. It would be an all or nothing move though because getting the head coaching gig or being shown the door would be most likely the next year.

Running into Ngata got RG3 killed.

That, and being terrible.

This is a pic from the NFL "all 22s" that was retweeted by Jonathan Jones.

Take a look at all the open receivers, wide open receivers.

Per the guy who was reviewing the film, this play ended with RG3 throwing the ball away

If you wanna go the path of being assured a quality coach with little risk (which seems like what many want), it can become a little tricky with an OC hire.

I think the most likely route in this regard is a coach that is part of a staff flip bc of a HC firing.

Right now, teams with these candidates include NYG, Chicago, NYJ, Jax, ATL, Oakland (already canned the HC), and Cinci possibly.

Many people here seem look to the HCs accepting a demotion elsewhere but there's multiple levels of coaches from these teams that could be candidates.

A guy I'd give a shot if Rivera stays is Aaron Kromer.  If Trestman is canned, Kromer will likely be gone at OC and I think Cutler and Co. cloud the picture of his playcalling and such.  He's even been the Saints interim HC...just saying.  He could even be a guy to interview/promote if Rivera is canned after next season.

I think Coughlin will be asked to retire rather than be fired if it comes to that.  Not convinced Atlanta fires Smith and I think Bradley gets one more year in Jacksonville, though I acknowledge all of those are possible.

If they were to fall though, there are definitely coaches that interest me...

BEARS

Defensive Coordinator Mel Tucker

Quarterback Coach Matt Cavanaugh

Special Teams Coordinator Joe DeCamillis

Defensive Line Coach Paul Pasqualoni

Running Backs Coach Skip Peete

Aaron Kromer I'd rather have as an OL Coach than a coordinator.  Marc Trestman might be good as an OC for a West Coast Head Coach.

JETS

Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg (lousy head coach but still runs a pretty good WCO)

Running Backs Coach Anthony Lynn

Defensive Line Coach Karl Dunbar

JAGUARS

Defensive Coordinator Bob Babich (Rivera's old colleague/replacement)

Wide Receiver Coach Jerry Sullivan

Gus Bradley could be a great defensive coordinator choice too.

RAIDERS

Special teams Coach Bobby April (one of the best in the business; pretty sure we tried for him before but couldn't get him)

I like Tony Sparano better as an OL coach but he could be a decent OC too.  Al Saunders is a great offensive mind but he's up there in years and probably better suited to a consultant/assistant type role these days.

FALCONS

Defensive Coordinator Mike Nolan (he's worked with Gary Kubiak before)

Offensive Coordinator Dirk Koetter

Wide Receivers Coach Terry Robiskie

Offensive Line Coach Mike Tice

Mike Smith would obviously be a good choice for a defensive coordinator but I could see him getting another head coaching offer.

First guess is ramsy, long ties and he's been sitting next to shula each week....... so he's learning what not to do.

Cam is wild card here, I believe him alone trumps river and all the lame duck stuff. I know for a fact, there PLENTY of good OC out there that are dying to get their chance to coach cam. Steve logan(huge fan, don't want him as coach) said the one guy he wants to coach above anyone is cam. There are firing each year and there can only be 32 OC. That number is even less, cause a few head coaches call their own plays and double as OC. If dave fixs the OL, OCs will be begging for the job in efforts to pull a chud. Think of the fame, hell I'm sure after one year of cam tearing up the nfl old sydner would give fire current coach and get cams OC 10 mill per.
