Rivera says punt blocks on personnel, not coaching

@BlackBlueReview: Ron Rivera, again stressing personnel to blame for punt blocks:

“There was no flaw, it was about execution.”

It's funny at this point.

Go Ron!

Keep blaming the players!

That way, we won't win another damn game this year and will (hopefully) get a Top 5 pick.  We can get the best OT with that pick or Amari Cooper or use it in a trade to get extra picks.

Obvious question:

The Vikings coaches watched film and saw a problem with the Panthers punt protection in one week of study.

HOW THE HELL DID RIVERA NOT SEE SAME PROBLEM ON TAPE WEEKS AGO???

That is why you hire a competent special teams coach.....his job is to study every aspect of his unit.

How many blocked punts have we had this year...other than this game? I can't think of any.

So, why would you not think that what you are doing is working.

The Vikings did something different and we did not react to it. That is PLAYER execution.

Rivera has made enough mistakes this season to warrant his release....but the blocked punts are on the players not doing what they were supposed to do.

don't waste you're time, these idiots want to blame Rivera for everything.

There are actually people still defending Rivera? Geez.

Exact same ones who were defending him weeks ago and will still defend Shula. There's only like 3 of them but they all share a personality type, spottable from 100 yards away.

Yep...it is called perspective and intelligence.  Easy to spot.

Rivera has done enough to warrant his release (and he should be shown the door)......but, he is NOT solely to blame for every bad play and shitty performance that this team and its players (all of them) are putting on the field.
