Ron is talking

I bet Ron hates Gettlemen.

Imagine....a General Manager that hides all season forcing you to give PC Front Office answers to all this BS.

Harper is here for one reason only.....Gettlemen paid him too much, now Gettlemen is making Ron keep him all season b/c it cost to much to cut him.  Then he sends Ron out there to lie about despite everyone knowing the truth.

Not true from what I hear. Harper is a Rivera guy that he pushed to sign for his veteran expereience and the possibility he would back Rivera in all of his ineptitude.

yes and no.

this board like to pile on people.  gives them too much.

Yes, Ron is a flawed coach.  Obvious and reoccurring flaws.  We all know that.  Those flaws have cost us games every season in predictable fashion.  So yes, Ron fugs Ron.

Yes, Gettlemen DID mismanage this offseason.....if a priority was given to continue off of last season's success.  The OL, secondary, and WRs corps all took big steps back in the same season.  Big steps.  Too many steps backwards from a TALENT standpoint.

Ron hasn't changed.  We are getting the doors blown off of us this year.....which has NEVER occurred under Ron.   It is happening this year b/c Ron is Ron....and now he doesn't have enough talent at important areas.  He isn't being asked to scheme around a weak lineman or a weak CB.  He has no OL.....no secondary.

Not legitimately acknowledging the drop in talent and how big  it was.....is just over the top Ron bashing.  Talent wise, this is the worst team he has been given.  Ron is a constant.  He is what he is.  Talent changed.

This is it exactly. While I do this Ron did go a little (Lol) back to his old conservative ways, he is what he is. We just have too much crap weighing us down.

Not to defend Ron at all because I think he has turned this season into a clusterf*ck but when it comes to Williams vs. Stewart, I was listening to Kroeger yesterday on my drive home and they were discussing that exact thing. I can't remember for the life of me who his guest hosts were but they seemed pretty confident that the call to play DeAngelo over Stewart was not in Rivera's hands to begin with. I believe it was Voth but I could be wrong because I was flipping around a bit.

There's been talk that Skipper is DeAngelo's biggest fan.

But that's only one example.  You also have guys like Josh Norman, Mike Remmers and others.

That is true - Like him or not, Ron has had to answer for everything including when the Hardy situation was going down. It's all Ron alone on an island when it comes to doing the talking.

I understand that Gettleman didn't really make himself available when things were good so I don't expect him to do so now. There is no way that Ron can believe the things he says in the pressers and if he does......oh my.

And what about the owner speaking out on the sh*tty product he trots out to the people who repeatedly give him their hard earned money each home game? That would be a noble thing to do but it won't happen.

All this.

I really don't mind Rivera as a person, heck I'm really impressed he took the fall  for the two blocked punts. But it's clear the guy is in over his head with regards to being a head coach. Great defensive coordinator and good football mind, bad leader. That's ok, it's not an indictment on him at all, it''s really fuging hard to be a good NFL head coach

Seemed that way from where I was sitting Sunday. Skipper would come over to both guys sitting on the bench together (Williams/Stewart) and ask Williams if he was alright to go back in.

So lets just say Skipper is responsible for this, It still doesn't excuse Ron. Ron should've stepped in a long time ago and told Skipper to start Stewart. But this just goes back to Ron not being able to properly evaluate talent and choosing not to hold coaches responsible. It truly blows my mind how this man is still the head coach.

If that's true, and I doubt it is, Rivera and Shula should be fired today.

Stewart and Williams are much different backs. Having the running backs coach decide who starts is pretty much saying he dictates which running plays are called in the first series.

Second part of my post I was speaking hypothetically.

But the hand off up the middle we run to start every single game would be alot better suited for a back like Stewart with our OL.

One thing is for certain though and that is whoever is deciding to start Williams is a moron.

Ron isn't a great HC. We all know that now. He should be a DC. Nothing wrong with that.

Dude knows defense. Dude knows Harper sucks. He might be on the field for a reason....but it isn't bc Ron thinks his play is good.

Then why did he push for him to be on the team if he knows he sucks

Bc your entire secondary walked out the door? Needed a vet and his rep was letting his aggressive style make up for what he lacked in talent. In theory it made some sense.
