We beat the Saints so bad they're blaming Gordell, the NFL, Las Vegas, and politics [Saints' Report thread LOLOL]

The only point they may have is the point totals and sometimes spreads. I don't think it is a problem in the NFL, but I used to do some pretty serious sports betting and only then do you notice some odd things happening around a fictional point spread or point total. I mainly noticed it in random mid season NBA games. If you watch NBA players warm up they literally don't miss. I am not saying the owners are all down with Vegas because they make all of their money off of the 10 percent juice people lay to bet one side or another. That is why the lines shift to encourage a balanced intake of wagers. What I do suspect is some players on a team may have people betting large amounts on the side to make some extra money.

If it was going on somebody like Jose Canseco would have written a book about it by now if it was a systematic rig job. I played sports in high school and small college, from my limited experience it is hard to see where the transition from real sports to WWFesque sports would take place.

I was deployed a couple times to small outposts in Afghanistan and saw real combat and interacted with real Afghanis and that experience and experience in the military in general made me realize how moronic government conspiracy theories actually are.

Sorry for the rant. Just my 2 cents even though it is a little of topic.

Yea, hate to steal your thunder, but I'm pretty sure NBA players don't miss much during warm ups because there is no defender in their face. (i.e. kind of why setting yourself up for uncontested shots is the entire point of the game).

I couldnt peel my eyes away from there. Theres a thread talking about how they miss Haroer and that he was the best safety on the field yesterday. They are already preparing for cap hell next year (brees is set to make 26 million). They want payton gone and have suggested that inside sources have said he is into drinking/partying. Jimmy graham is "soft" and they should have traded him before the season. Some are calling it the worst loss in saints history (of course most of those fans didnt know they existed before brees), almost all agree it was the worst loss in the payton/brees era. They think they are going to get pasted by the Bears.

It was kinda weird they just ran clock out at the end rather than doing their stat-building which they are accustomed to doing.

it seemed like they didn't really go up tempo until the game was really out of reach

we're accustomed to seeing brees pass for 250+ in a half when the saints are getting beat down like that so it was kind of weird

The biggest reason Cam will never win a Superbowl is that he is lights out as long as there is no adversity and he is playing with a lead. You put him behind the 8 ball and his lack of leadership and maturity come shining through.

Yeah man, that's so true, I mean it's not like Cam didn't come back on that ass against the Saints to win the division last year.

Several reasons for the win.  The same O-line for two weeks in a row.  Rookies given a chance to play and prove themselves and make the team for next year.  The fight resulting in the team coming together and getting some swagger back.  Revenge againt the Saints running up the score on us. Riveral and Shula feeling the heat.  The perfect storm against the Saints.  Cam finally taking this team over.
