Focusing on the game at hand

We've got Mike Evans who has been killing it as of late and a team that's showing fight despite a terrible record and god awful city to call home playing us.

Norman, Bene, & Trae, killed it last week and Harper played surprisingly great.  Can they continue against an offense that has seemed to pick up life?  CJ is a big part of this.  He's not putting up the sack stats but his play is causing much disruption and McCown/McNown/whoever is a pretty vulnerable QB.

What do we need to do to kick the living piss out of these bottom feeders?

Without CJN, we've got DA at the helm with the usual suspects.  Who goes nuts? Who is Rivera-style mediocre?

No accident reports in here, game talk on a crazy Tuesday evening.

Look for Benjamin to have a big game.  Anderson and KB seem to click the last time they played.

They definitely did.  It helped KB get off to a really solid roll this season.

I think Verner is overrated as hell so wanna see him torched by our squad.

Regardless of who's at QB for the game, we can win based on defense play and the correct offensive mentality... Give the ball to Stewart 25+ times. Whether Cam or DA is at QB, our game plan should be built around Stewart. He would easily run over them. 25+ carries and he'd get 200+ yards, I guarantee it.

That would mean that Stewart would alone get over 100 yards more than Tampa is giving up per game. They are 16th against the run and 24th against the pass. They give up,115 on the ground and 249 in the air. Almost identical to us.

Then again carry on with the fantasy there is little said on this message board that would qualify as factual lately.

    • You know, there's something about this whole JAG thing that really just drives home the idea that to some folks, these players aren't real people, just names and stats.  Of course, it goes beyond sports. We're a sad, jaded species, us humans.
    • I hope we get no featured games, or only one if that's still a thing Don't like having to subscribe to a service just to see the panthers play a single game, i'm looking at you peacock Football is made for sunday afternoons Word
    • Yeah, it's just dumb. Everything is year to year. I never understood how anyone could stay engaged as a Kentucky fan or duke fan as duke became a one and done factory like Calipari made Kentucky. The thing I liked at about UNC is that we primarily focused on recruits likely to play multiple years. We'd have pur occasional one and done but most of our pros still played multiple years. And the days of the Stackhouses, Wallace, Jamison, Carter, etc. playing multiple years is just over. And now you have your role players entering the portal every year to test the waters elsewhere. I don't blame them for looking out for themselves but just personally speaking I'll run out of interest quickly trying to get to know a whole new roster year over year.
