2015 schedule: Seattle would be playing in Charlotte AGAIN (if season ended today)

Beyond the divisional games, our known schedule is:

Home:

Indianapolis

Houston

Washington

Philadelphia

Away:

Tennessee

Jacksonville

Dallas

NY Giants

As always, there are only 2 games that vary based on your record: games vs. the teams that finish in your same place in their respective divisions. Since we're in 1st place, we would play the 1st place teams from the NFC North and NFC West. The schedule cycles the same every 12 years, so we can just look at the 2003 schedule to see that we'll be playing the NFC North team on the road and the NFC West team at home. So:

Home:

Tampa Bay

Atlanta

New Orleans

Indianapolis

Houston

Washington

Philadelphia

Seattle

Away:

Tampa Bay

Atlanta

New Orleans

Tennessee

Jacksonville

Dallas

NY Giants

Detroit

Thoughts if it shapes out like that? This certainly looks easier than this year's schedule at least on paper.

We don't know where we will be playing home or away yet. The NFL changes that stuff for reasons that are beyond us all. A few years back we SHOULD have played SD at home but ended up going out west for it.

So who knows?

We DO know which games are home and away. That's already laid out for years

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
