bersin isn't a threat to house it every time he touches the ball + he seemingly thinks he's playing baseball when he's on punt return duty.  not good.

This was my question. Was someone not grabbing him by the facemask saying "when you call for everyone to get away from the ball, GET AWAY FROM THE BALL."

He has caught everything this season. So your point is invalid. He has only gone down to his knee a few times to secure a catch. Whatever it takes. It's a fair catch anyways, so why does it matter? He is better than anyone else we have tried back there so just fuging deal with it.

He had a really bad day in horrible conditions but the posters here have the memory of a goldfish. Just a month or so ago he was getting praised for every catch on the field. He's a solid bottom of the roster receiver and hopefully learns from his special teams mistakes.

This. After the first time Bersin touched it and almost lost it, how the the fug as the special teams coach can you not tell him get the fug away from the ball. That was one of the dumbest things that belong on cmon show I've seen in a while. Trying to stop the ball like he's the catcher of a baseball team

He has been underwhelming all year................we are talking about a person who can catch a punt or act responsible around the ball when kicked to them...............do you see how crazy this is?

 

No one is even approaching the idea of what is his return average........................like we would if any capable punt returner..

 

Its like having a kid on your pee wee team that is required to play every game so you stick him in and hope he doesn't blow it....

 

That fact we are having a thread on this is enough of a problem.................if that we GB or Seahawks that could have been a game killer of which we may have never recovered from.

It blew my mind.  A professional athlete who didn't seem to know what we all knew in Pee Wee ball.

It seems like he can't even properly judge the ball in the air. Every time he catches a punt he's falling over, going to his knees or taking a few quick steps at the last possible second. He's never in the proper position waiting where the ball will actually be.

This is the biggest indictment on Dave Gettleman since he's been here. To have to go from punt returner Philly Brown to punt returner Brenton Bersin is like going from President George W. Bush to President David Koresh.

He's just an awful player with an incredibly low football IQ. Even after his huge mistake, he was standing near bouncing punts and fielding them on his knees. Just fuging stupid, plain and simple. GET AWAY FROM THE GODDAMN FOOTBALL!
