Im sure he is but I feel Rivera especially early on helped McDermott in game prep.

Generally you'll show up with a giant binder full of roster projections, 5 year plan, scheme implementation, type of schemes and so forth. It's why the interviews take 3-5 hours or so.

McDermott is a good DC hate to lose him.  That being said, I think Wilks will be just as good and has worked wonders with this secondary and might be a step up from him as a DC.  He would be the new DC and I doubt we lose a beat.

I don't know I go back and forth with McDermott. Early in the season our defense was a dumpster fire. We tend to shut down crap offenses and hold on for dear life against good ones. Russel Wilson threw two easy touchdowns against the blitz.....and we kept blitzing. 

 

I think he's good but I don't see it as a massive loss.
