What do our South rivals need to do to make you worry?

I know we need a quality LT and another solid WR.  If we got both of those and a good SS, then I think we'll be a tough out for anyone.  And I honestly think we're going to be rightfully favored to win the South next year.

But I'm curious, which of our weaker rivals concerns you most?  And for that one, what would they need to do to make you really worry about our matchups next year?  Something like Atlanta getting a defense, but be reasonable about it.

I'm fairly confident we can get at least 5 division wins but do realize that we got beat by both the Aints and Falcons at home this year. Far from worried but I wouldn't sleep on any of them. Tampa sucks big time, but who knows maybe they draft Mariota and he becomes a complete stud...

Brees is washed up and eating up too much cap space so the Saints are finished. The Bucs don't have a QB. The Falcons are going into rebuilding mode. The team that can turn things around for next season is the Falcons imo. They could improve their o-line and defense in the off season.

For next season: Atlanta hires Quinn and he gets Gase as his OC. Still not that worried because I don't think they'll be able to fix that defense in Year 1. Rex would have been much more scary to me.

For the long-term: Bucs draft Winston. I think Winston is better than Mariota and will be a great QB in the league. I think Mariota will be medicore to a bust.

That's what I was worried about if they had gotten Rex..

Maybe they would be tough instead of just talking about it..

Now they are still a soft team that will wilt as we keep knocking the snot bubble out of them..

Bucs are a QB away from being a decent team

Atlanta is a wealth of defensive players away from being a threat

New Orleans has one more year to compete on the back of Brees. He has to play all pro though to make up for the lack of defensive talent and they are entering cap hell while we are exiting.

I really do not want to see New Orleans beef up their offensive line. When Brees has time to throw or can step up in the pocket, he's dangerous. A better o-line would also improve their running game making them less one dimensional as well. They're pretty strapped for cap space but I want them to keep those overpriced guards.

    • We have without question one of the worst QB rooms in the league and your key concern is people having the audacity to be talking about it lol.
    • I saw this list crossing the screen waiting for any Panther.  Chubba, JC Horn and Hunt.  It was a crime to see so many that were not as good as these three.  ESPN is garbage anyhow.
    • Bingo!  We are on the same page.  Our scouting department was average under Hurney, but at least we hit hit it out of the park with our first rounders.  Our scouting department under Tepper's reign with his revolving doors of HCs and GMs has sucked because the scouts largely stay in place.  One or two may change every few years, but the core philosophy stays in place and I believe that to be heavily RAS influenced.    Looking the part of a football player (physical/athletic measurables) vastly outweighs putting on the tape and deep diving into his stats with our scouting department. Until we change that mindset, this team is doomed. Again, how many of us Huddlers (none of us are professional scouts) wanted McConkey over Legette? Yet, we went with XL.  Why?  RAS score, pure and simple.  If you put on the tape and look at the numbers without taking RAS into account, McConkey was the clear choice.
